Ive wanted to post this question for quite sometime but always manage to get sides tracked somewheres else..

I know alot about the GL product but cant figure out why its much harder to find the Series 1 of 3500 rather than the 1-2500.

Im talking about the very first 2 series ever by GL. MCG & S&C Series I believe they are.

I accually have a 1-2500 complete set that i would be willing 2 trade for complete set of the 1-3500, but again the 1-3500 is harder to find so im not sure mine end is worth it. In anyevent ive have posted this trade up in the trade room & will again.

My thought and being funny more than anything, possibly a few pallets of these still in someones wharehouse or what?

So again my question is why are the 1 of 3500 cars so hard to find?

Maybe because the MCG went to Hobby dealers only and MCG S&C 1 got stuck in the black hole of Kmarts:confused:

Maybe because S&C 1 had two very different versions of each of the six castings while MCG 1 had two colors of each casting. Many wanted all 12 of the S&C 1 while they could get by with 1 of each of the six castings used for MCG 1. No wheels diffs on MCG 1 between the two colors issued for each of the six castings. Major wheel and paint diffs on S&C 1 for each of the six castings.

I couldn't say for sure why S&C #1 is harder to get ahold of but I find the castings more appealing as well as the trading card art. I got a late start with my collection and had to piece the two sets I have together, whereas I bought a sealed case of MCG #1 that had been sitting on the floor at Gearheads for some time. I would estimate I've spent between $300 to $400 on the S&C #1 regulars I've bought in the last year and a half. Some are very dear, if you can even find 'em (stock Impala & custom Boss 429), and command low "green machine" kind of dollars. Good luck with your set.
