Thanks Fred. Do you know if the gate will be locked? or will it be opened at 10:00am

The gate will be open after 10 AM. Yes, if you have a power source it would be wise to bring it and Yes, we still have to drive through the neighbors field. I think that is very generous of those that own that field.

Hi Joey
I run a 14/77 gear, as far as springs and shock oil, I feel everybody has there own ideas on the way the car feels for them but I run the pro1 black spring on the front left and right rear and the green on the right front and the white on the left rear. How that helped a little.

We had a great time at Lansing for the first leg of the Tri State series. Twenty four different entries through out the four classes. Lots of good clean racing in all classes. Weather was a minor factor throughout the day we had one small rain delay but the track crew did a great job of drying the track and we were back at it in no time. We did finish up just as the weather started to get nasty. Winds kicked up and it was really looking bad to the west. We all packed up and hurried out. I know I headed east and finnally got out of the high winds when I turned south on I-75 just below Detroit. Other than that I believe everyone had a good time. Awards were discussed and Jackets may be in order for the class winners this year along with trophys.

OK,
I finally setup a points sheet for the Tri-State series and there is a link to the actual results. As long as the other two clubs send me a file with the race day results, I can post it and keep up on the points.

Take a look at the GLQSR website for the results and standings.

Just a quick note to remind all of the interested racer's of the next race in this series. We will be racing at MPR on the 21st of this month.
Also want to note that this race is open to anyone that wants to participate. You do not have to race with any club or track in the series you just have to be a QSAC member and have a desire to race. This is a fun track to run with a great bunch of racers in this series.
Come one come all. Be ready for a great time. All classes of cars will race, novice, sportsman, super trucks, grand nationals, and of course sprints. Look forward to seeing you there.

you will need both..... GEARS AND SPRINGS

jbrooks39

I am sure Dave Pirrello or Greg Hilber will post a good starting gear ratio.

Tires are generally as follows:

RF: 96
LF: L20 or L30
RR: 410 CAT
LR: L20 or L30

If the tires are incorrect, either Dave or Greg will get it corrected for you.

I am not sure of springs.

Regards,

Joe

The second stop of the 2008 Tri-State Series is in the books.

We had a total of 22 cars for the event; 14 Sportsman and 8 Sprinters.

Congrats to Scott Schramske for the win in Sportsman. Greg Hilber was second followed by Matt Hilber in third (if I remember correctly).

Congrats to Mike Reniger for the win in Sprint Car. Joe Brooks was second followed by either Todd Holloway or Randy Baker in third (again, if I remember correctly).

The weather turned out to be great and I believe everyone had a good time.

The Indy Club will be hosting the last leg of the Tri-State in September.

Thanks to everyone that came to MPR.
