I doubt any USA car dealer would allow such an event in its show room !!

it was not the first time we had our swapmeet in a car dealer showroom..i think it was a great idea for them to do it so they can introduce their cars and services to people like us.

Where in the Phillipines was this.
When I was in Ormoc City and Cebu I did not see any mention of car shows.
I was there April 1st to the 12th.
I'll be going again in October of 2009.

I would venture to say most of the diecast car show stuff happens around Manila. I actually attended something of a Hot Wheels show when I was there a long time ago, (maybe 2000 or earlier?). Wasn't even on the site then. I know it was at one of the malls outside Manila

I have traded with members of that board, but it is very expensive shipping... wish I could do more trading

When I was there a long time ago, there was like, only one company controlling the import of Hot Wheels, and all the T-Hunts were removed and sold by that one company. I don't think they do that anymore, do they Tomylord?

yes we miss your post in DCPH.
Richwell still is the local distributor of Hotwheels here and still continues the practise of filtering TH befor deliveries to stores. But now and then there are TH being spotted but on a very occasional basis.
Because of the growing club presence many members with US contacts have started doing some parallel imports to fill the gap. Not only for Hotwheels but JL also which is now not being carried by its distributor Bankee.

I wish I could make it to the Phillipines. I would love for my daughters to see where their great-grandfather was born. Looked like a great show. Can't find Tomica diecast here.
