Am I getting too old for this stuff or was tonights' Family Guy episode the tackiest thing since South Park? I mean, I have always loved the humor of both shows, but tonight it seemed like they were trying to get taken off the air.

Three disabled persons jokes that were just not funny, and all within the first twenty minutes. First E.T. and Tom Hanks in Philadelphia, then a joke about Michael J. Fox, and finally a horrible stab at Joe from Chris of all people. The next one about O.J. Simpson was pretty tacky as well.

It just felt like Seth MacFarland didn't really have a hand in the creation of this episode. At least I hope he didn't.

Might not have. During the writer's strike, FOX took over the show and kept on doing productions. Who knows what shows are in cycle.

Family Guy is one show that'll have me laughing hard one moment, and cringing the next. That Michael J. Fox joke was simply terrible. I can't believe that stuff gets past a chain of people who should say DON'T DO IT! The worst joke of all time, in my opinion, was something about the girl, Smart I think is her last name, who was kidnapped and held for years. They actually made a joke about RAPE, which just sickened me. After tonight's episode, I think I might be done with it.

i was done with family guy years ago. theres a mean-spiritedness to the writing that is a major turn off for me. when it was originally canceled my thought was "good riddance". i am not surprised to hear that they have finally gone too far in most peoples estimation.

I, for one, am happy there's still a show that dares to completely ignore propriety and PCness. :D

Ditto.
I may not agree with, or appreciate all their jokes.
But I am glad that someone is still putting stuff llike that on the air.

Same here, and I thought the MJF Zorro joke was one of the funniest of the night. There are no sacred cows on FG and that is what I like best about the show. Brian at the vets when Chris wanted to apologize to his g/f had my son and I laughing for the rest of the show.

I will have to admit that the scene where Peter was trying to set up Chris with a blind date, and the Stewie appearance had ME rolling on the floor. I just didn't think that the handicapped jokes coming one right after the other was too much.

The basic idea was ok but it seemed padded out for time. So maybe it was the replacement writers.

Sometimes, Seth and Co. are spot-on, and sometimes I think they're phoning it in.

Hit-or-miss...

Neither did I, I thought it was hilarious too.
