I was wondering what others thought on some 1/8 scale buggies. I'm currently trying to find a good buggy to run off-road.

Stateline R/C 05-04-2008, 10:40 PM go to a race track and you will see more losi's than anything, for a reason. TOYMINATOR 05-04-2008, 10:51 PM I was an associated Guy for a long time.If you want fast and durable buy a Losi.I have had a few diffrent buggys and have seen lots on the track.Parts arn't too bad to find either and they are reasonable, unlike a Xray. BrentV 05-05-2008, 06:52 AM No problems with my Jammins driveline, replaced the center CVD's once in three years. Pretty much the buggies that have been mentioned are all good. Jammin and Loosi parts are readily available, however most Hobby shops don't cater to 1:8 so you'll likely be ordering your parts. Check www.AmainHobbies.com papa 05-05-2008, 07:10 AM It would be a very good idea to see what 1/8 buggies your LHS keeps parts for "in stock" and make your judgment from there. ehartman_49348 05-05-2008, 07:42 AM +1 on the RC8! It handles great and AE has been resolving the small issues that they had since releasing the buggy and it's rock solid now! xraycer 05-05-2008, 12:48 PM I have never broken anything on my Xray XB8TQ...my best friend has one as well, and both buggies are probably the most durable out there - but they are expensive. But, considering you really never have to replace parts, it evens out in the end. They are not "set up out of the box" like an Associated or Losi, but once you get them dialed in, they run awesome. We have run with Edwin many times, and the handling closely resembles the RC8's. In fact, I'm so happy with mine, I ordered the new 808 - It's shipped and due to arrive Thursday or Friday of this week!:woohoo: associatedracer 05-05-2008, 06:44 PM I have a jammin and drive mine real fast and hard and it really is tough only problem i have with my jammin was a stripped clutch due to not tighten the motor right other than that not concerns shadoweye 06-16-2008, 11:42 AM thanks for replying you guys im going to get the losi 8ight those ive seen at the track the most t4mania 04-30-2009, 12:04 PM Agree 100% with Xraycer. Never broken a part in an entire season of racing. Just check your bearings like any other buggy and you're good to go; Avid is selling their Revolution bearings for a dollar a piece so just pick up a bunch. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
