When you try to access Collectors Net USA web site this is the message you get, lib/db.mv: Line 1796: MvLOCKFILE: Runtime Error: Error creating lockfile 'Merchant2/00000002/storekey.dbf.lck': Disk quota exceeded so think that they are a defunct company now, as far as Tiger Wheels i have not anything new from them in years. So who knows?

I don't think that Collectors Net USA is defunct. I can still access their site and it seems you can still order some of the Tiger Wheels vehicles.

I have the 1 of 100 "white" '68 Shelby. While I don't search eBay for them, I do not see them mentioned or up for sale all that often. I am glad I got my set of Tiger Wheels Shelbys when they first came out.

I can get to the front page and a couple of other front page links but if I try to click on most of the links I get the same error message as No_Ice_Kustoms does. I see nothing on the website that leads me to believe that it has been updated past 2006. However the phone number still works so who knows.

I too have a Tiger Wheels Buick but it's a blue '66 Riviera.

Tiger Wheels is out of San Juan, PR and is related to Anson.

I thought Tiger Wheels folded up a year or two ago. I could be wrong. Thanks for the sweet pics!

I've got all but the "Preview Edition" 1969 Camaros. Really nice cars. Really heavy too. If you take one apart, there's a big hunk of metal in the front & the rear.:)

Actually, Anson made the early castings for TWs . But Anson was reportedly acquired by
RC2 ( Europe Div) in the early 2000s. Then TWs was forced to produce their own castings - which in my opinion are much more detailed . Souce info from PR indicated that there is no activity in PR at the former TWs HQ. A shame, I really like the latter castings for their detail. The next model to be issued was to be the 68 GTO plus US police versions of the PR
Crown Vic Interceptor which was issued exclusively with PR Police logos only.

This is because they have diecast weights (blocks) inside the trunk and engine areas...I took apart one of the Camaros to customize it, and once the chunks of diecast are removed they don't weigh any more than a MotorWorks.

I ordered the '69 Camaros, and Mavericks directly from TigerWheels.COM off a blister card from a friend, You might try that.

I've got the "Preview Edition" 1969 Camaro on the way:) 1 of 100:thumbsup:
Next I'm going to start collecting the Shelby Mustangs & Mavericks. The Buick GNs look pretty good, too. I consider the '69 Camaros in my collection among the best detailed cars that I have. Too bad this line (Street Muscle Series) went the way of the dinosaurs. These are really well done cars, IMO. Also, the '70 Chevelle they did looked good but I just didn't like the wheels that they used on this casting:rolleyes:

Tiger Wheels came about when gravity racing was the hot ticket, right? That must be why the front & rear of the earlier cars have the metal blocks inside. Did they do away with these blocks when they started putting rubber tires on their cars?
