Hello, I am in the early stages of designing a new 12th scale pan car. I will be building a special pod to go with the car and would like to use a 370 -400 size brushless motor as a powerplant. I have been told that some of the great planes ammo motors will work, but is there a good choice out there for a 12th scale that will take standard pinions? Thank you in advance for anyone that might have some info.

It's not exactly "out there" yet, but Novak's Mongoose system has what's described as a 380 size motor with a 1/8" shaft and "Multiple motor mount screw patterns" which might fit without modification. Hopefully they'll ship soon....

Sounds good! I am still interested in a sensorless setup, but I will keep an eye on Novak.
