:wave:Fellow Slotters,

On Saturday the sun was shining in Central Park NYC when Tommy Stumpf, Danny Esposito, my son Jeremy, and myself, met up with Tom's Daughter Tracy (who organized this) and Tom's parents along with several brothers and sisters and grand kids of his to take part in the Paarkinson's Unity Walk. We did the trek successfully and had a great time in the park. Afterwards we headed out to Cleveland and did the Slot Car show on Sunday the 27th.

I would like to thank all of you Slot Car friends who graciously donated on Tommy's behalf to help find a cure for Parkinson's Disease. His SLOT CAR FAMILY RAISED over $1000.00 and together with his daughter and her TEAM TOM we raised over $2500.00. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Thank you Bob. For posting the link, and for taking the time to let us know how the walk went. I truly wish I could have been there to participate, but my daughter got married in Flint, MI that same day.

Thanks again, Jeff

Well Bob Beers told me I didn't need to say thanks, but when do I ever listen to him.So I am saying THANK YOU to everyone who donated to the Parkinson's Walk.Even as a kid I would never ask for help.Bob says I'm stubborn. It' lucky I have friends who don't pay attention to me and just jump in and help. Two of them are with me at local shows.Carl Mendez and Kevin McEvoy.I also have to thank Jeremy Beers who helps me on the road trips .He's 16 and has been coming to shows on and off since he was 3 years old.He was the Bob's original mini me.The two who i really have to thank are "MY BROTHERS" Bob Beers and Danny Esposito. This last year was tough, but it's getting better.I could not have literally survived without them.We have been together for at least 15 years. We hate each other and everyone that knows the 3 of us will tell you that.OK so no one believes me.When you spend so much time together you get a chance to look deep into someone elses soul, and my two friends have that.Thank you Bob and Dan. Glad I could be a part of it.
Tom - Did Bob Beers ever tell you about getting into trouble at a slot car show? I know when traveling with him you could get into trouble easy.
One time I hung around him & we got in trouble. Here's the story: Which Bob may or may not remember - One time in Matteson, Bob Beers told me he'd show me a short cut to get to the first floor of the hotel. I was game. We got onto the service elevator, went down & to our surprise when the doors opened there sat a female guard asleep at a desk. Who was startled awake by us fine fellows. We got an earful from her about using the service elevator. We walked away with very sober faces - til we got out of range & busted out laughing & went on our merry way.
That's my escapade with the famous Bob Beers. And I still laugh about it.

Thanks to Tom and Bob for coming down to Philly (Fort Washington) and being at all the shows over the years. It was my pleasure to help.
