I just want to know why no one can make a realistic looking semi truck anymore?
Its like they can't put a little effort in to get the details and lines right.
I have a few that look like the 1:1 versions, but most of the new stuff looks like crap. :(
I can't even get excited by the trailers shown here (and I am a big big truck/trailer fan, since I drive one still occasionally)

olesarge, what a great collection! I had about 40 rigs, mostly NASCAR from the 80's. They got stolen along with 2 huge boxes of carded Hot Wheels a couple years ago :(. I'm working on replacing now :thumbsup:

See? Now that is a good looking truck! But I bet it cost a bunch more than the MB trucks (and deservedly so!). I just don't see why MB puts out such generic looking crap and passes it off as good.
Now the question is, would I buy them? If I want to build my collection at all, Yes I'd be forced to. I can't afford to buy the high-dollar trucks, but I can be selective about which low-dollar trucks I do buy...
And it is possible to make a low-dollar, high quality truck... Just follow the example of all the great looking stock and muscle cars they put out.
No offence to the OP, just a peeve of mine (and I would love to find that Jeep tampo'ed trailer for my collection!)

Nice collection of rigs.

Matchbox does produce this lineup of Trucks/convoys anymore!! You have to buy the large size ones that have been shown on here like the car carrier and the univeral transport version. Nice pics of those type convoys.
