Welcome to the new thread, and to the newest and Biggest Off-road Racing Facility in West Michigan. Here is a little info on us.

We are on 40+ acres of land right off from the Martin Allegan exit of Us-131. On those 40+ acres we house a 1 mile long dirt bike and atv track and a smaller novice dirt bike track with the hopes of an indoor arena to run in this winter. And now we have the addition of a 150' x 80' Off-Road R/C track. Not to mention we are a stones throw from the Knoll-Gas Raceway. Please visit our website at www.mx131.com.

Here is the 2008 schedule

Special Events
05/24 Cash Back Race
07/12 East West Nitro Shootout

In the month of August 2008 we will run races every Saturday night starting at 6 PM as part of the 'MX131 August 2008 Saturday Night Series'.

Thank You,
The MX-131 Team

For right now you'll have to provide your own power and tables. We hope to have some power outlets available soon, but drivers stand and pit lane have a higher priority right now.

Edwin there is power in the sign-up building and they can tap into that

There is also 1 plug down by the well that could be used for now, but you'd have to bring your own extension cords

The drivers stand will have a ramp! We discussed it yesterday when staking out the drivers stand. The stand will also have a lowered rail at the end for you to see over. What is a good height for you Dave? We can mention it and it will get done. Owner really gets stuff done... and fast.

No official rules have been put together, but I don't believe that will be a problem. We will get all this together in the next week or so and I will make sure this will be taken as input.

Hi all.....
Thanks for all the great response I've seen so far on this tread. We are very excited about this week!!!! Like I had posted before, the track will be open starting Tuesday. We want this track to be for everyone, so come one come all and help us break it in. On Sunday I watched 1/10 scale electrics run and and 1/8 scale nitro and both seemed to enjoy, so bring what ever you have.
The wood for the drivers stand should be there tomorrow and we'll start construction right away. Even though we all hunger for speed the most!!! a concession stand is in the works to feed those other hungers. Hoping to have that within the next two weeks. As far as tire choice goes... that remains to be seen. We'll try to get as much input as possible and post the results.
Thanks all and hope to see you soon!!!

Will this track have an AMB scoring system that excepts personals?

Will this track have an AMB scoring system that excepts personals?

Yes, an AMBrc system will be used that will allow personals.

As MX131 indicated, yesterday both electric guys and nitro guys were testing out the track and both groups were enjoying the layout and surface. Due to the new construction, the main drive line still needs to be developed, so tire choice is hard at this point. According to LosiDon: Panther Switch is not the right choice of tire for 1/10th scale truck at this time... But even with lack of traction with his truck, he was able to jump the large triple in the middle.

For those that will need power to charge batteries, there is power available, as long as you bring a extension cord. Power closer to the track will be available in the near future.

I will be out at the track later this week (Tuesday or Wednesday) to burn some more nitro and check on the progress of the drivers stand (which will have a ramp, so it will be handicap accessible) and I will take more detailed pictures of the different sections of the track. Most of the features on the track are the normal features, like table tops, doubles, triple and elevated turn, but you will have to come out to check out the unique whoop section that was put in.... I won't reveal all the details by describing it, but it is definitaly fun and will be great for racing!

Since we have been very busy building the track over the last 2 weeks, we have not been able to find the time to determine a schedule, but the plan is to have electric seperate from nitro races in the near future. The only race that is already scheduled is on May 10th (Saturday), which is the official opening day of the new facility of MX131. The first race will be a combined racing day for both electric and nitro. More details will follow on that.

More information will follow from both me and MX131.

Count two of us 1/10 scale nitroer's (If that's a word!) down on Saturday! Track looks awesome and now I can finally open up my OS TZ. We should be there in the early afternoon so bring the nitros. Seem to be getting pushed away from our other track. It's all good though!:woohoo:

We look forward seeing you out at MX131! If you have any ideas or suggestions while you are out there, see one of the track crew people and let them know about it! The goal is to make this a first class facility for both electric and nitro, so everybody's input is valued and taken into consideration!

Stopped in to the track tonight and they were setting down the poles for the drivers sand. They are moving right along! We got to talking and the big air will be coming. They talked about adding to the track some more where they could put a huge quad for the 1/8 scale or double double for the 1/10. Big air is coming guys. The track needs to be soaked yet and swept and packed with a compactor. It's gonna bet a nice surface when done. It's loose right now so some type of pin tires are needed. I think it will end up being something like holeshots, ifmars or similar tires for the 1/10 scale. 1/8 might end up with crime fightes or close to it when the track gets settled in. They are also gonna shave down the step-up a little bit. I'm sure MX or Edwin will post more of whats going on.

The surface is starting to shape up pretty nice. Thanks to Jason and his buddies for putting in lots of laps!

As Don indicated, the drivers stand is being build already! It's going to be nice and big with a nice ramp going up! We will be making some small changes over the next couple of days to resolve a few issues that we are running into to get it ready for May 10th! I spent over an hour soaking the track surface to help pack it down and smooth it out. We will keep doing this for the next couple of days until it's perfect!

We are planning on running several cars tomorrow night and I will also take some more pictures and post them to give you a better idea on what the track looks like! If you don't want to wait for the pictures, just come on out and put in laps and enjoy the new track!

All I can say is Wow! Took the truck out to the track tonight and it was awesome. The track and the surface it great! Made all the jumps including the big triple with my 1/10 scale. Super fun running mod out there. Can actually get about 90% of the throttle down the straight with a 6.5 brushless. Losi red king pins worked great in the rear and Losi 8 ribbed up front. Track held moister nice and traction was perfect. Nice loam to the track and it hooked up my truck really nice. Could even pull the wheels off the ground if I wanted to. The track is HUGE and the lanes are like 14ft wide! It has a wicked rythem section which is really unique. Not like your normal rythem sections. If you want to run a really sweet track come on out. No more running the little track guys. Once you run this you'll never go back. LMFAO He's talking about a huge indoor facility too! Electric and Nitro in the winter in West Michigan! Tony said a beverage company heard about the place and showed up today and asked a bunch of questions and took notes. This is gonna be a huge facility. Just think the casino is coming in now right up the road! RC racing, Motocross, Drag Racing and a Casino all within 2 miles? Awesome. Free practice too this week!

How's the drainage on the track? Plan on driving down Saturday to run some laps. Looks like we might get a break Saturday during the day. Also are a step pin tire the way to go? Can't wait to check this facility out. Were hoping like .... that you put a roof over it for nitro racing during winter. :woohoo:

P.S. Love to see such quick action getting this thing done. Somebody is not afraid of spending a little coin.
