but the only one there was a huge snapping turtle .
it was bigger than a basketball you guy's should think about making him go away.
Kevin
Was the little turtle scaring our little Kevin...... :) Kevin so scawed..... LOL
Mike Champ 06-06-2008, 01:30 AM If tires would be the only thing holding you back from racing 1/8th scale, I will have an extra set available for you to use.
Thanks. I think I'll be all set, but can't hurt to have them with you...
My car is all rebuilt. Just have to go through electronics, fuel tubing, the starter Box and then tuning the motor, and I'm ready . Should have enough time for that next week...
I can't wait to race Nitro! My 777 looks so good... So excited to run it at MX131...
Keep up the good work guys!

Do you need anything from Europe, since I am here right now?
I stopped by a hobby shop and almost fainted because of the pricing.... An off brand (P.O.S.) RTR 1/8th scale buggy: 420 Euros! Damn!

Yeah, the prices are just sooo high in Europe... And then with the exchange rate, you multiply that by 1.55 and the math is easy...
That's why I wasn't able to race when I was in France...
Enjoy your trip and hope I'll see you next weekend for some Nitro racing...
MX131 06-06-2008, 12:19 PM Hey Edwin...

David Washburn 06-08-2008, 10:36 PM Well Guys we will have a new layout sooner than expected, the rain over the past 3 days really played a number on the track so we ripped the whole thing up and are redoing it and making some of the suggested changes and we still plan on running the new track this weekend so stay posted for updates, and we are gonna make the surface better to run on.
David Washburn 06-10-2008, 10:48 AM The track is coming along gr8, it looks like the rain is finally gonna ease up on us for the rest of the week, i will get more updates and maybe some pics posted soon, once again we are gonna try our hardest to get it ready for this week as of right now the races are still on, remember electric on saturday starting at noon and nitro on sunday starting at 1pm, see you guys then.
Losi-Don 06-10-2008, 08:03 PM You guys works fast! I'd love to help but working 12+ hrs a day at work leaves no time for me. I have to go to the Neocon show (in Chicago) tomorrow for work. That will be a 15+ hr day :freak: Not sure if I have to work this weekend yet  It figures the weather gets nice and we get busy at work! GRRRRRRR
Keep up the great work. We'll all have to head up to Dukes one of these weekends and do some racing there too! Wish I had a nitro. Anyone want a XXX-T CR with a GTB, 6.5, lipo battery, lipo charger, tons of extra parts and tires?
LD
ehartman_49348 06-10-2008, 09:15 PM I headed over to the track tonight, after 14+ hrs of travel from Europe, and it is starting to look really good. The new layout will be faster with several larger jumps! The new track will by finished before the racing starts Saturday for sure!
MX131 will also have raffles throughout the day Saturday and Sunday and every race entry will automatically be entered into the raffles!
The weather is looking pretty good for this weekend, so come on out for some great racing at the ultimate RC facility in Michigan!
S. Jerusalem 06-10-2008, 10:13 PM Weather's looking good. See ya on Sat.

You get stuck working at Neocon or are just looking at finished setups? We bailed out of it, now we call it Nearacon, I guess we bought a building across the street for year round fun. Luckily I never had to work down there. Have a good time.

I should be running my 777 this Sunday! I am waiting for my throttle servo to install it and get the engine tuned up and ready to rip... The one from last year acted weird when I tried to work on my car last Sunday and I had to order a new one. My car looks awesome... I'm so excited to run it. I hope the servo shows up by Saturday...
Gluing some step pins while watching the Basket ball game... Hope they'll work good on the track...
See you all there on Sunday!

ehartman_49348 06-11-2008, 10:02 PM Just came back from the track and except for a few minor touch ups, it's done! The new layout is a lot of fun to run with plenty of speed and big air!
MX131 offers FREE practice tomorrow (Thursday) night for members. If you are not a member yet, you can purchase your annual membership for $10 and still practice for FREE. This offer is only for good for Thursday night (06/12/2008) from 5 PM until close.

ehartman_49348 06-12-2008, 11:41 AM Do you have power or do i need to bring my generator ????
Limited power is available, but if you have the ability to bring a generator, it would be appreciated. We are still working on expanding the offering of power throughout the parking area.
mazdalarry04 06-12-2008, 04:12 PM i am just about to leave with my new motor
Mike Champ 06-13-2008, 12:22 AM Everything is on working order on the 777. I received my servo that I ordered monday night... Now, that is fast delivery...
I can not start my car though, cause it looks like the wheel on my starter box is too small now... I have ordered one, but it won't be there until Tuesday.
Anybody with a starter box for 777 that I can use for Sunday?
I'll stop at Hobby world on Saturday to pick up couple of glow plugs. Does anybody know if they have the RB hot plug available there?
I'll see you all Sunday anyway, I'm sure we can figure out something to start my car . So excited...
Mike
ehartman_49348 06-13-2008, 08:36 PM It's going to be a great weekend of racing at MX131 with electric racing on Saturday and nitro racing on Sunday! MX131 will have raffles with prizes on both days and is included in the race entries. If you enter multiple classes, you will have multiple chances to win raffle prizes! If you have not checked out this brand new facility, come on out and you will have a great time!
Mike Champ 06-14-2008, 10:32 AM Any chances you will have some pics of the new layout posted by tonight?

S. Jerusalem 06-15-2008, 09:31 AM The new layout is ti-tahs! An 1/8 track that 1/10 can run on comfortably. Very nice.
ehartman_49348 06-15-2008, 08:19 PM I was wondering where everybody was this weekend? The turn-out was low yesterday and today and there were not a lot of races going on elsewhere.... We will run one more seperated weekend in 2 weeks, but if the turn-out is still this low, we will have to combine electric and nitro on the same day.... Please let us know what the deal is, so we can work on a solution.

Fathers Day weekend, lots of graduation parties, weddings, people camping and such. There are going to weekends like that. Duke pulled people in Saturday and 90% of them were new people that I have never seen before. The regulars at Dukes had family stuff going on this weekend. Once summer settles in I think people will be more consistent. Duke is going to put his schedule up and is trying to schedule the opposite of MX. Electric and nitro together at Dukes works great. Some guys run electric and nitro because they have both and can do it on the same day. I think your better off running them together rather than separate days. I think turnouts will be small if you have races on Saturday and Sunday. People will get burned out of it when they have to spend the whole weekend to run electric and nitro separate. Most people want to race just once a week. Anything more than that they will get tired of it real quick unless they are single and have nothing else to do. I would love to race once a week but I can't even do that because family does come first. People come and go racing RC's. They get burned out after a while and most will race a couple years and then take a couple years off. I know I will. You only raise a family once in your life. Racing on the other hand you can do several times during your life. Don't forget about the economy too. It's hurting everyone. It's not like it used to be and people are watching what they spend. I'll be out to race off and on. It's just hard with the wife going to college and doing 40 hrs free intern at the hospital. Thats $60 a week extra in gas(damn gas prices anyways) just for her to do that. Next year she will be done and life will be good! She's gonna make more than me. I love it!
