Great day at the track yesterday! The stand is really coming along and the pit lane is almost done. It is looking really good!

I will try to get a compactor out sometime this week to go over the 'woops of terror' and fill in some of the holes. Hopefully I will know today on when the compactor can come out.

I forgot to measure the total drive line, sorry... We did have the lap counting system hooked up and it looks like good laps will be in the high 30s/low 40s....

What a nice day it was. It's great to see a place go up so quick. No Hooters girls? Does that mean Hank is gonna be our Hooter girl? Thats a visual I don't need to see :freak: I had a problem with my speed control tonight. It kept shutting off. Tried fresh batteries when I got home and still did it. Checked all connections too. Changed my radio and receiver and still did it. I emailed Novak just now so I'll see what they say. I may not be able to race this weekend! No speed control! AHHHHHHH That would stink! Hey Tony.... "Whats he building in there?(inside joke) Oh and the drivers stand is gonna be awesome. Birds eye view! Track is about 95% broke in. I'll stop out this week to help. Can anyone get a compactor there for the rythem section and a couple jumps that need a little smoothing out? Lots of people coming out to run and this track has not even had it's first race yet! Just wait till the word gets out :woohoo:

+1, mod or stock truck, mod 4wd.

Just for reference, will stock be "true stock" (27t brushed/17.5) or "loose stock"(+13.5)?

Yes AMB, bring your personals.
Bring a long extension cord and a power strip if you need more than one outlet.
Power poles are in the works, just getting the track up in a month is a big achievement

That should slow him down a tad bit!

I believe stock is 27t brushed and 17.5 brushless (correct me if I'm wrong Edwin)
I'm sure Edwin can bend the rules on the first race. We can always take a vote! Edwin is easy to persuade. We just want everyone to enjoy their first race at MX131 so it will be layed back I'm sure. There will be bugs the first time running the track but we have RAID!

Here's my problem with my speed control or whatever else it may be to cause this.......
I can run the truck about 3 minutes and everything shuts off completely like it lost all power.
I let it sit and nothing happens.
I wiggled all the wires and nothing.
Turn it off and on and nothing.
I unplug the battery and plug it back in and it will run for about a minute and shuts down again.
Put a fresh charged battery in it and the same thing happens.
I have never had it thermo on me, it never runs hot and I have the lipo cutoff on it at all times.
I have tried 3 fresh batteries and it still does it.
I pulled it off my truck and checked every wire up close while the motor was running at just above I guess you would say :idle".
Any ideas? I might just have to order a new one so I can have it by Saturday to race and send the other in to get fixed. This is got me stumped. I even changed the motor to my 10.5 and still did it. Changed receiver and radio too.

don did you check the Drive capacitor to see if its damaged?? If they are bad or have a broken wire they will cause things to run very hot.for a gtb to thermal with a 10.5 that sounds like what it is to me.

john you still got that b3 you bring it out and run it.Yeah, I could come out and announce the races but..... remember something.... I have a wireless system, and as I'm calling your name a hundred times I could be hiding just about anywhere, you'd spend that four minutes searching, and I'd still be running my mouth! Miss you too Roy! XOXOXO:p

Not only that, but my CRC Pro-10 will be here Friday. I'll have to let you wheel that,
it might bring some new life back into on-road for you.

Yes they will have house transponders. We can thank DUKE from Duke's RC Raceplex in Fruitport for letting MX131 use his transponders! What a guy Duke is letting another track use his equipment. I don't know of any other track that would do that for another track. Just shows you how down to earth Duke is and where his heart is in this sport. Thanks Duke we'll all be racing at your track this summer too!

For those planning on coming out this Saturday to race:
The Thunder Nationals will be going on down the street at the drag strip. This generally causes a lot of traffic on 12th Street. If you show up and there is a long line of trucks in the right lane on 12th Street, you might want to try to utilize the left lane to get to MX131. Be careful doing so and at your own risk.

Sounds like your all set Swinster. Tubes are tied down with nice end caps installed. Drivers stand and pit lane is top notch man. Gonna be a great time. What time you getting there? I'll take some pics tonight and post them if I remember my camera. Ran my truck last night and it had traction from H3LL. Pulling wheelies. Got to adjust my slipper now.
