Ya I like pitting as much as driving nitro's especially in the long mains. Anything can happen so your never out of the race until you break something and then you still have a chance at times. Seen some 45 minute mains that were crazy. Just plain fun for sure. Kevin is on call for work this weekend so he won't be out today but I bet he wishes he could. Heading out today to a big 'ol party. Picked up a 15 lb slab of New York strip for the grill. I'm gonna make an oinker out of myself :thumbsup: and then kick back and chill til the wee morning hours by the bonfire. Life is good! See ya around.

Just to make sure that everyone is aware: The track is closed on Friday July 4th, but will be open for practice Saturday July 5th!

Hey Edwin, What side of Gun do you live on? We were out there all day today beached at the sandbars. Had a pontoon out there with the grill on it. :thumbsup: Put the loungers in the water and kicked back sippin' on some cold ones. I got fried :confused: Had a blast though. We only go there when we don't have the kids. Way to busy at the island to watch the kids. We had fun though. Kids are sleeping like logs right now. Playing in the water kicked there butts today :thumbsup:

I'll do the cooking thing :thumbsup: and stay late with ya guys. I got a camper but to set it all up and sleep in it for maybe 2hrs Friday night just does not seem worth the effort. Heck I'm 15 minutes away :thumbsup: Oh and I got a shower at home so I can smell all pretty for ya guys on race day :p What's your favorite beverage?

Not totally sure yet, but looks like the farewell party is on Thursday... I guess I'll know for sure during the day tomorrow.
Are you guys staying at the track on Friday night to hang out. If I get out of work early enough, I'll pack my stuff and head up your way and might stay there if other people are at the track all night. Can we camp there? Anybody has room in his trailer for me maybe? Would be awesome to stay there on Friday night!!!

Yea you can stay the night friday night, and me and my brother have a huge toy hauler all to our self with like 5 or 6 beds in it so if u want to stay with us u are more than welcome to.

I stopped out to the track today after I took the boys fishing and holy sheet. That is an awesome layout! Al if you wanted big air you got it now. Talk about hang time :thumbsup: Your not gonna believe the air on the tabletop. Let's just say you can shoot for the moon if you want to. If you like big air this is the place to check out. They have added to and totally redesigned the track. Some awesome things were done to the track that I have not seen before(I'm not gonna tell anyone). Fast, big air and technical all in one track. This is gonna be great for 1/8 and 1/10 scales. They put some thought into this one to keep both scales happy. RV's are parked and ready. Bonfire Friday night! Plenty of wood to burn! Just have to get a chainsaw out there, cut and load it in the bucket of the tractor. I'll try and do that when I get out of work Friday. Hopefully the rain will pass around us Saturday. If it doesn't Sunday will be the day. It doesn't sound like anything major just a chance for some off and on showers which will actually feel good with the humidity and temps. I'm really looking forward to this Shootout! :woohoo: See ya all Friday night for some practice and Saturday for the race. :wave:

Hey I was out on Saturday and there was rumors of changes. Seriously- photos guys! What did they change I thought it was spot on Saturday and now I'm dying to know what was adjusted.

:thumbsup: I saw it today just as Hank was finishing up with the bobcat. It's totally different now. There is a feature in this track that nobody else has. This layout is sweeeeet! I saw David get air with his buggy and he was at least 12 ft in the air and flew 25+ feet landing every time nice and smooth. There's some great technical stuff in this track also. This track design is 100 times better than the first one! Running on 12 and 14ft lanes is very cool too. If you want to pass anybody you can do it anywhere on this track with the wide lanes. I've seen tracks that they have a thing they call a quad :freak: , MX131 has the same thing and it's called a rythem section :lol: If you have not ran this track yet you will be missing out. Just wait to see what Al Horne has to say about it. Al has ran just about every track so we'll see how MX131 ranks in his book after the race :woohoo:

well we are gonna repair the track when the rain ends today, and we are gonna move the race to sunday.

Track will most likely be open for practice tonight, but i will post more details later
