I took $200 with to me to a toyfair this morning, the last one I will attend before September.I didnt expect to spend it all (dont tell the wife, I wont unless she asks, and she knows me well enough not to:hat:) but in fact I left with this great bunch of cars and enough money to buy 1 litre of diesel :).
I can count 4 very rare holy grails to some diecast collectors in this bunch of 1/64 and 1/43 with at least 2 being worth very good $£€$ to ebay customers (but I plan on keeping these).
I am sure the sellers are satisfied with the money they put in their pockets and a fine day of talking with fellow collectors, and i know that i have been blessed more generously than usual, perhaps this is my 2nd greatest ever market haul ........
The green Singer van has spw and no decals, with 80% original paint left, very pleased to have this gap filled, and the funky flower power kiddy paint job on the salmon gpw 22b Cresta was irresistable for wun doller:thumbsup:

I also collect 1/43 -my personal holy grail is the vhtf purple Rover -it is 1/50,000 - the sole use of this tool back in 1971 -detailed roof unfortunately but with care I can remove the black without damaging the original finish. The VW is Sabra and 3 nicks from being mint

A closeup of the holy grail for many US collectors, the green ( with-extry-home-detailed-soon-to-be-removed-silver -trim), not lilac not silver Caddy Sixty Special seen with my usual resident keyboard car, and a whole load of evidence of my personal food addiction, grapefruit (must clean up:p)

Nice haul SMS
The Caddy in green is not easy to find anywhere. And I like the 1:43 VW too.
The orange/red Jaguar is IMHO not that hard to find in Denmark, same goes with other MB models as the A-2 cartransporter in red and grey. I have a sucpicion that those two models came to this country in greater numbers than everywhere else.

Green 43 Minxes regularly turn up here too, as in Holland, but always missing at least 50% of their paint.I think the Caddy is mega rare - as far as colour variations go it probably makes the top 10 RW non transitional vhtf colours, although some things like the pink/turquoise 22 Cresta are even more HTF - 5 -7 years ago I decided not to buy a good one for 150kr/$30 , deciding that it wasnt worth more to me than the new Vanguard that cost me £10/$20 a few weeks earlier ,but that was before I was into variations and swaps and ebay,so they are about in Denmark too

The green Caddy and the best orange Jag XK are fitting in nicely with the rest of my collection and following all the recent pre 1965 additions to my collection a re-think and extra display space is a priority

If I came home with all these cars from one day of hunting I would have to bring something very nice for the wife to keep the peace;)

Local coolectors unloaded this lot to me this week for very reasonable money:)although the Isuzu came from epay for $7 shipped. Almost everybody here would pay $9.50 for a silver grille/ angled decal Tippax with only 8 chips and a tatty first issue no label box (shame it doesnt have knobby wheels and no vent hole but its still very nice). The gpw Ice Cream van is a perfect find for this long hot summery weekend (thursday & monday national holidays here) with minimal damage to decals and sits very nicely alongside my other pair with bpw.
The VW Beetle is a mint Corgi Juniors that was part of a whole vanload of toys, basically every Corgi model issued 1969-1982, that came to a collector I know from the former official Copenhagen Corgi rep when the Mettoy company went belly-up.Sadly he sold off almost all the Juniors in the 1990s - this Bug with rare red seats from the police issue had been rejected by buyers many times in the 1990s when almost all the rest were sold off. Once again I am blessed:)
