Orange peel is very much on my wants list. What a superb casting :thumbsup:and probably the finest example of the Lesney response to Hotwheels custom cars. Shame it didnt appear in more colours, although the baseplate colours and topsides pink shade variations give plenty to look out for, although with ease of label re-assignment it is difficult to know if any loose label variations are genuine

I like the K-2 KW Dart truck! This must have been one gigantic truck, does anybody have a picture of the real truck?
My example is with the earlier "E-style slide-box"

I wonder if Mountain has more than 4 different base colours on this first edition pink no 70 Charger funnycar? Interesting how Orange peel kept the association with no 70:)

clever how the 70 is still on there.
the different color base plates make for a good picture, here are some of them.

A superb photo, I wasnt expecting the very light yellow or metallic green so its a pleasant surprise. The chrome plastic front has a tendancy to break on these when they turn up in toyboxes so while I have a pair that cost me almost nothing they are not in the greatest condition.I havent looked for this at toymarkets, a mint boxed example is top of my lesney commons wants list but all those baseplate colour varis are my mission for future years perhaps....
