i have a 10.5 motor that i bought from some one that is one of the better drivers around my area and the blue wire was cut he said that it is just the temp. wire which i am sure is true but what would you gain from clipping this wire. and since its sensored will the motor some what govern itself if it starts getting to hot. would like to know before i cut the wire on my 13.5 and my other question is? is this even legal.

it is the temp wire and some of the drivers cut this wire so that the speed control doesn't thermal. i personally would not cut this wire unless i was at a big race and wanted to make sure it wouldn't thermal. personally, i see no reason to gear a motor that high or to do anything to get a motor that hot.
