Still waiting for CP balancer and instructions say to hook up balancer to charge ? Local lipo guru's say no need for balancer (use every 3rd or 4th charge so can i just make up a lead and hook up to my lipo ready turbo and charge ? Just wanna be sure , i know to charge in a pyrex dish with handles or a ammunition box etc

I have talked to many rc flyers that use lipo and they say for longgevity and best charge always use a balancer. just buy a lipo bag nay people have them just check around at the track if one is near or try some of the support stores on here.

I have 2 LiPo batteries that I balance EVERY charge and my Orion spec that I balance probably ever 1 or 2 race weekends.

Having had 2 swell and be ruined from not balancing, it seems like a small investment in a $30 balancer to save $120 batteries.

It's more important for the 2S2P packs than the smaller 2S packs, but even at that after about 2 weeks my Orion Spec will be about .1 out of balance.
