I have been racing pan car and off road for lots of years now but I have only run my tc3 for bashing because we had no class for them, this year this changed. What do I need to know for running a TC3 on a banked asphalt oval, ie. tires, body preferences, shock set-up. Also should I run my stock tc3 or my spare with the 200mm rally car conversion. I already have the motor setup, I will be using a GTB with a 5.5 motor. Any info you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Last time I ran TC3 for oval was dirtoval. But when my local track starts racing asphalt oval in may a few want to run tc3's with a truck body so the oval setup has been on my mind.
I have parma blue tires that will run on the right front only because they have been in my tire box for three years. I am sure I'll run some pink/xx pink rears and a purple/xx purple fronts if the blue does not bite. The springs Ill run will most likely all different but in the 12# to 20#. The camber as needed and caster 6 degree left, 4 degree right and I'll shim the front toe block to add just a little kick-up. I tried the additional kickup before in dirtoval and it seemed to left the car transfer more weight to the front without grabing brakes.

You can also play with the rear a-arms. TC3's use two spacers to adjust wheel length, I would sometimes have the right shorter than the left to make the rear steer some. Or flip it to make the car rotate faster.
Using offsets on the hex hubs will be the same as adjusting track width.
Rear toein can help keep the car planted while turning, but too much and it will slow you down. Start with 2 degrees.
Roll centers should be the lower-longer links on the rigth, Longer up links left.
Try that and get back...I am trying to remeber my dirt oval setups its been a few years.
