Is there any real advantage to running the 4 cell GTB over the standard one? (besides weight and size) Reason being, I'd like to take advantage of Novak's RMF'd GTB's, but they only sell the original ones that way.

just get the rmf's one and take the fan and heat sink off and you got the same deal !! plus you can run a 6 or 7 cell on it if ya want to. and its already got the bigger wires.

Case size is the same, just like Briano 72 said, remove the fan and heatsink and you are there. The regular has removable switch and receiver leads the 4 cell is soldered so if cut a wire it will a little work to fix it.

ya I got one and it works great, just as said take off the heat sink and fan and put a cover on it and all set.

where are they on the website ?? i was there tonight and could nto find it.

youm can mill the heatsink and then flip it over if you want a puple cover..

Ugh! The RMF GTB isn't on there anymore! Now I don't know how I'll get one.

They are GONE! I'm assuming Novak must have sold out of them...

It was a great deal - I sent at least 8-10 people there for them...

just as a fyi i've been running my 4 cell version with my lipo and 21 turn with no problems at all. i check the heat after a race and it's no hotter than it was with the 4 cell 13.5.

Making a cover is real easy. I just used the heatsink as a template and cut out a thin peice of aluminum and used the heat sink to drill the holes in the right spot.

it does not "need" a cover either. i ran 13.5 4 cell for a year without a cover. i found a brl cover on here for like 10 bucks and got it, only reason mine has a cover on it now !!

I just used a peice of clear lexan works great and very light.

Big Boys toys has a cover for the gtb.
