Press Release from GreenLight about SPEED 2

Indianapolis, IN (April 23, 2008) SPEED Network Channel and GreenLight Collectibles are excited about continuing their success of the SPEED assortment of cars. The fist series was a success and they are excited to bring out the second series. In series two there will be a whole new exciting line up of six cars available in the first week of May.

The six cars available in series two were featured on various shows on the SPEED Network Channel. The 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Coupe Resto-Model is from My Classic Car series. From the show Pinks comes the 1989 Pontiac Firebird Formula. The 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429, is from Pinks All Out. From Barrett Jackson there is a 1969 Dodge Charger RT. From Car Crazy there is a 1965 Chevy Chevelle SS. The set also includes the highly anticipated 2006 Chevy Corvette C6R from the Wind Tunnel series.

GreenLight Collectibles have been working on perfecting the 2006 Chevy Corvette C6R. It is the fist time GreenLight has ever produced this mold. The Corvette has been a long term process and they are excited to launch the model in the SPEED series.

The SPEED series cars will be in 1:64 scale (about 3 inches long) in clamshell packaging. Each car in the series is made with real rubber tires a metal body and chassis, detailed graphics, engines and custom license plates. All cars are officially licensed by Ford, Chevrolet, Daimler-Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth.

The Speed Series 2 will be available exclusively through GreenLight Distribution Network. The series will be available at Target the first half of May. The series will also be at Hobby outlets and online retailers. For a list of stores go to the where to buy section on GreenLight’s website www.greenlighttoys.com (www.greenlighttoys.com)

As a GL collector, I can only hope they do a better job on this release then the first. To date, the only cars that were just "faked" by GL (speaking of the two race rides). Come on GL, remember, if it's worth doing, it's worth doing it right!
