Slotpro has very big selection I think Jim Nagy paints them himself

does have a nice selection of UNMOUNTED bodies. unfortunately, i have ruined a number of bodies i bought from him trying to mount them. i run about a 25% failure rate in mounting my own lexan bodies. ive figured its cheaper in the long run for me to buy them already to race.

painiting and mounting are aspects of the hobby i find less enjoyable than others.

mostly, i just like to annoy other racers on the track and act as a spoiler :)

Check out: http://www.rabbitracing.com/Bodies.html

I've seen pre-mounted bodies at Lucky Bob's, none listed on his website, but you may want to inquire.

What are you looking for? I can paint anything you need. I used to paint by brush only and now I'm getting good w/an airbrush so I'll make you a deal. Let me know if interested.

$55.00 from SlotPro. I'm tempted to pick one of these up as I find mounting lexan bodies just as troublesome.

i have the earlier version of the BSRT jig, and it does make aligning the pin holes easy.

the trouble i have had with the jig is about 25% of the time i trim too much off of the bottom of the body, so when i use the jig the body sits too low and the rear of the body hits the rear tires. at that point, its pretty hard to fix, and the couple of times i tried to move the pin holes up higher didnt turn out very well

please email me

i have a race in July for G-jets that requires Can-Am bodies.

please email me at mkingrei@aol.com and lets see what we can work out. i know martyb and a couple of other local racers who dont post here much will also need bodies for the same race.

thanks

MKing,

Heres a little trick I do when trimmin mine after painting.
Mark the body first before painting for wheels with perminit marker.
Paint and lay flat on the table. Where the plastic hits the table from the body bottom trim of with exacto knife. Nice clean edge at bottom of body.
Trim out wheel opening around line leaving a small amount. The small amount sand out with drum sander on dremmel. Presto smooth wheel openings.
Try it on a scrap body I think you will like it.

If you feel shaky trimmin with exacto place a peice of metal straight edge and guide the blade along that to trim bottom.
I also paint bodies but Donnie is a great painter. I have seen his work.

$55.00 from SlotPro

Holy friggen cow. I must admit that I've laid down some serious cash for HO crap over the years but that has to be one of the most gold plated tools I've ever seen. Even the gov't contractor making those $1000 Mil-Spec toilet seats would blush over trying to pry $55 bucks out of someones wallet for that thing. In-friggen-credible.,

There is a chap on POS, Greg I think, with Honeywell in his email address (work I guess?) who does awesome work both in terms of painting and mounting.

Then there is Bruce with the french surname, same deal.

If people were only allowed to run bodies to that standard, Lexans would not get the stick from guys like JLM because there would be nothing to bitch about.
