This is looking to be pretty good. If most of my locals show up we could very easily get 75-80 cars. A pretty good weekend of racing if you ask me. People have to remember just because some really good guys are showing up. Its about meeting people, and getting ideas, learning a different setup, and who knows those good guys could take each other out in the race and leave it to your average nice guy ! and we will say Thank you very MUCH :p

Very true Freddie, let youir guys know the race is for them also even if it is the only NCS race they go to all year dont let them think they will be in anybodys way! I bet half our guys at our club didnt run at the final showdown last year because they were afraid they would be in the way or thought it wasnt for them because thet didnt run in any other NCS races!! Besides this is thier home track they have a head start on all the people coming from out of town, they have to try and figure things out in a few days! Dont let those out of towners take home your hardware...defend your turf in numbers!!!

In Sprints : Myself , Fred Murry , Mike Stuchl , Orrin Sundea , John Brennan , Mike Reniger . Maybe one or two more from up Michigan way . Gonna start working on them this weekend at the test and tune . Bob Elliott and Larry Hobson from out Iowa and Ill. way said they were coming . In Sportsman I know Phil Custance will be there. Grand National , Brent , Mike Reniger , Mark Aldrich and Truck Randy Brown and Jim Bell . There"ll probably be more from over this way , just not sure yet who .

Little over four weeks to QSAC NCS Eastern Dist. #2 @ Freddies. Man, it's coming up quick.

Just a few notes I thought I would put out there.

#1. The track is open for practice anytime I am here. I am here all week. If you want to show up Tuesday, Wednesday and start practicing that’s fine. The track will be open for practice from 9 am until 5:30 during the week

#2. Sleeping at the track. ? I have installed 5 ~30 amp RV Outlets For the worlds last year I had 15-20 guys bring tents and campers and sleep here. There is a shower in the store you can use once I get here at 8:30.

Any other questions please feel free to ask .

There is still a possibility that I may make it over there. We will see what happens. Sounds like a huge car count and I LIKE THAT! I have heard a lot of great things about the facility and would love to see it!

I would like to go this Saturday, but I am trying to find someone to share the expense with from the lower part of Michigan. It would be about $125.00 or so in gas and I want to go to as many races as possible so I need to watch the pennies. Anyone from this area interested???

Well this is looking to be a race with a great turn out. I feel to ensure everyone’s safety and peace of mind that we strongly comply with a few things.

At out track we have two gates to enter into the track. For the NCS Race there will be a person sitting at each gate. As stated in the QSAC Safety Requirements both 1 & 12, your QSAC badge must be shown to enter. For those persons purchasing a Mechanics pass. You will be issues a wristband which will act as your key into the hot pit areas.

Practice: the track is open for practice until 5:30 Monday & Tuesday, I will allow practice until 6:00 on Wednesday. Thursday until 6ish.

Now on “ Friday” NO car will be allowed to enter the track for practice until it has PASSED Pre Tech.

Hour Change:

This year QSAC changed their format from only single car qualifying on Friday to a Single car and one round of qualifying.

Because we have not installed lighting around the track, and to ensure ample time in case of a misshape which Murphy’s Law will always provide. Friday times have been changed to:

Sign up and Pre-Tech 9:00 am

Open practice till 12:00 Noon

Controlled Practice (15 minute intervals) 12:00 noon until 2:30

Line up and all cars on track for Concourse judging 2:35

Drivers Meeting at 3:00

Single Car starting after drivers meeting

Round # 1 Heat Races to start right after qualifying


Saturday; Will stay as described on Page 18 of your QSAC Manual.

I had to put the power in before I cemented under the drivers stand. its in the ground. Once I do the pad and pull the wires there will be power. Will it be there before the NCS race ? That will be close it will depend on what all I am doing. Its not on the top of the list. But it will be done;)

Hi Duck! - Try a 12/82 …… LOL (kidding) :woohoo:Last Saturday I started with a 5.00. That seems to be a good starting point for GN..........Donnie give me a call tonight.

Donnie, I am running a 5.33 ratio in GN. I have yet to decide if I am running GN or Sportsman at the NCS race
