I'm putting a 21.5 Lipo car together and I don't have a clue where to start out for gearing. The track will be a 270 ft runline fast asphalt banked track. Will be running the Orion 3200 batt. Thanks for info Steve Lawson

3.60-3.70 rollout would be a good starting point, use lap times from there, motor temps are not a good indicator of correct gearing on a 21.5 lipo car.

on our 250 flat asphalt we are rolling out at 4.20-4.30 in this class..

Steve - yes. I found all winter when running 21.5 LiPo that I have been just a tick below the rollout that I would have run with 13.5 4-cell.

What rollout were you running in 13.5 4-cell at Marshalltown ?

I'm not sure what my rollout was I only ran 13.5 there once. I think me and Dave K were both geared at a 1.85-1.90 with a R on the rr and a L on the lr
