this guys charges me 6 bucks to ship a single car... but doesn't put enough postage on it... Now I have to go stand in line at the PO and cough up extra money for postage due. When I emailed him.. he said " THE SHIPPING FEE INCLUDES EBAY POSTING FEES, EBAY CLOSING SALE FEES, PAYPAL FEES, AND ITEMS SUCH AS COPYING EXPENSES FOR PAPERS INCLOSED AND PRINTING CARTRIDGES, THANKS! Y123 MIKE
"

can you believe this?

Just wait until May for the no negative feedback from sellers rule to kick in before you leave feedback.

I might just let the car sit there, have the PO send it back and then claim I never got the car. I live in an urban area and going the PO is a MAJOR drag. I could easily be there for 30 mins waiting in line.

These games from seller really get under my skin.

Did you use PayPal? Then let it get sent back and claim it not recived. Open a PP dispute.

I did use paypal.. and if I have time to get the PO before they send it back, fine. If not, a claim wll be put in. I'm glad the moron send me that email stating that shipping costs aren't REALLY shipping costs, but instead, that he expects me to pay his ebay, paypal, paper and toner costs... costs which BTW, are not listed in his auction.

I've watched this guy since I got back into 'lil cars for two reasons. He often has some interesting stuff which is good of course... but I find the grab bag auction method off putting and can never bring myself to push the button.

I'll be curious to see if you are pleased with the actual piece(s) as his pictures seldom show things in focus.

by bidding you agreed that was the fee for "shipping" as stated, however the guy should have gone to the p.o. and put the proper postage on the damm thing. I hope you got it at a price that makes it worth the bs. I would email the guy ask him If he is willing to pay for your additional delvery cost, time and expense, parking etc. say 15.00 or it goes back. just my opinion good luck

Unfortuneately, eBAY rarely boots sellers, this particular seller seem to have a problem with shipping and breakage.

Not looking to highjack the thread, but while we are on the topic of bad merchants, steer away from http://www.e-clec-tech.com. On March 3rd, I ordered one of the Miller Engineering animated billboards they had listed with the understanding that they would ship in 1-2 weeks. I've never received the item and after my first e-mail inquiry, they wrote back and said they would look into the delay. They've never responded to any e-mails since that time and I have had to go through the credit card company to dispute the charge.

How does something get delivered in the first place without the necessary postage?

Be that as it may, like others have said, I would just let it return to sender, have him cough up the extra money to get it back and then file a claim with Paypal and get your money back.

Or, simply tell him that is what you will do. Maybe he'll send you the extra money just so it doesn't get returned.

Personally, I would need him to send me not just the money for the extra postage, but for my time as well.

No car is worth this kind of hassle.

Guess more AHs are finally figuring out ebey tricks. I've had a couple of real dozzies as winners lately. They didn't understand the wording used & junk lot and was dissapointed when the stuff didn't show up in new shape mounted sealed in cubes. :freak: rr

Joe... I'm guessing the thing had ALMOST enough postage. I think he threw some stamps on it and tossed it in the mail. I got this little pink card tellimg me the main office was holding my package and that I needed to cough up another 74 cents when I picked it up. Where I love, going to the post office is like going to Motor Vechicles.

I told him the same thing I posted here. If I have time to go get it, fine.. but don't count on it. What bothers me is that I got a pretty good deal on a flamethrower sand van. If the thing is in good shape, it might be worth it. But If I go to get it and it's not what I expected, my head will explode. I have a few more days to mull it over before they send it back

I learned to stop buying video game cases/accessories from any slant eyed countries (sorry, been there, been screwed) Hong Kong seems to be the worse. I had a UK screwing a few months back, so there off the "i'll buy from them again" list.
