Dustin Losi frk 04-17-2008, 10:42 AM Here it is peoples the 2008 Summit RC Outdoor Off-Road thread. Rumor is some new dirt might be in adding traction and longer tire life. I know there are some big races coming to Summit this summer so you can comment on those as well. (Dale knows I am pulling for one speficaly;))
I hope the yearly Memoral Race will be this year. Already scheduleing my weekend around it.
aeRayls 04-17-2008, 02:33 PM Is the rebuild still sheduled for this weekend? The first race the next? Just asking since The Track has that rc pro race next weeknd. If 20 peeps show to that I'd rather go down the street and race at summit for sure.
dasupacat 04-17-2008, 05:20 PM I'm looking forward to some great battles at Summit this summer.

Whats it matter if 20 people show up or 120 people show up, it is still a race!
calm down Bret don't pop another gasket !!!!!
indy-25 04-17-2008, 10:57 PM Yea a race at summit.
aeRayls 04-18-2008, 02:07 AM My point is 2 hour drive, $50 for 2 entries, $65 for hotel because you have to be there both days. I dont mind shelling out the $$ when the competition shows up. Paying extra coin to race a handful of people, done that too many times this year already.

OK OK, understandable.

LoL the only gasket Im going to pop is going to be yours on the track this summer.
Ninja 04-18-2008, 12:04 PM About adding dirt the the track at Summit. I would say that all you need to do is rotate the soil with a 48 or 60 inch tiller behind a tractor. About 6 inches or so. May bring up a few rocks but nothing a little racking can't fix.

redbaron 04-25-2008, 08:20 PM when does racing start and baron what time do you think you will be there
1:15 - 1:30pm
dasupacat 04-25-2008, 08:35 PM What time do doors open?
nutz4rc 04-25-2008, 09:32 PM Dale said open at 9:00 AM.
nutz4rc 04-26-2008, 09:21 PM Good first day, cold and very, very, very windy. But still fun racing. Good group about 24 (I think). No serious problems with track or scoring. Obviously this being the first run on a new track some tuning needs to be done but it worked out well. Lots of buggies and trucks flying through the air especially coming off jumps when the wind gusts hit.
Looking forward to the next run.
dasupacat 04-26-2008, 10:22 PM Wow, what a day. That wind ws killing everybody's cars. f like I was driving a kite in the air. Track layout was good, but super rough and had a few narrow lanes for the huge size of the track. Gonna put the buggy away and give truck a try.
ashxxxnt 04-26-2008, 10:58 PM few narrow lanes for the huge size of the track. yup but at least thats a eay fix. but that wind tho there was no fixing for that.
kurtblastoff 04-27-2008, 07:27 AM Dave,
I'm with you, I think I'm going to sale the 4whl and get a truck too.Mod truck looked fun and trucks take the rough stuff like it's not even there. I think truck will be a big class this year.
dasupacat 04-27-2008, 07:40 AM Got mine ordered. Hehe
