How does one obtain a Green Machine without buying one on ebay? Let's say for example you order a six car set and you happen to find a GM in the set or if you buy six of the same car, would there be a possibliity of finding a Green Machine? Or if you just buy one Greenlight Collectibles car, what are the odds of that car being a Green Machine?

your only alternatives to buying off ebay are to buy sealed cases from an online dealer who does not open the cases and remove the green machines. there are a few site sponsors here who do sell sealed cases for an excellent price and have excellent service.

as for the numbers, there should be 1 green machine in about every four cases. it isn't a 100% guarantee but if you order 4 or 5 sealed cases, you should get yourself a green machine. milezones sends all green machines out in regular orders too. if you order a 6 car set from him, you still stand a chance of getting a green machine. for instance: when he goes to fill your order and pulls those cars out of the box, if one of those cars happens to be a green machine, it will be send to you for the price of a regular.

as for the odds other than buying sealed cases, it is luck of the draw. i've bought well over 50 single greenlights and never had the luck of scoring a single green machine.:(

2 out of 100 cars is a green machine for retail releases. 2%. That equals 1 of every 50. Master cases of GL cars contain 4 inner boxes of 12 cars each for a total of 48 cars per case. This means that not all masters contain a greenie but pretty close. While it is not guaranteed you will recieve 1, buying a master is your best shot. Or quit your job and warm doors at all of your local retailers every morning:rolleyes:.

k-mart, tru, meijers, and target all carry greenlight. i've found 8 green machines at k-mart. but, i only live a mile away. you've got to go to the stores alot. i don't go anywhere but k-mart. i stopped at tru last weekend, first time in months. it was full of greenlight cars, but of course well picked thru. the door openers go for the green machines now and leave hot wheel hunts. no one goes to k-mart anymore. it's on the opposite side of town from all the other stores, and people just don't really hunt there. i think gas prices have cut down alot of people going out every day. i've always found the GM at lunch, or as in the last 2, it was about 5 in the evening on the way home. and they stock overnight, so they had sat there all day. k-mart has greenlight cars from the first series still. they don't sell well, unless green machines here.

As pointed out, find a dealer that doesn't pull the chase cars. Other than that, your only alternative is to find them in stores. You must get lucky, or it will take a lot of persistence, and gas!

Apparently, your area is not hunted like mine is. Speaking from first hand experience, it is an EXTREMELY rare thing to find a hunt, Green Machine, or anything that can be resold for more than retail value in any of the local stores after about 9:00 AM. Leave hunts? I don't think I'll ever see that day!
The only chance to get something in most areas, is open the door, or stop in the first hour they're open, unless you can get an employee to check in back.
