well the most money that you will be spending on is the border that will take up most or not all of the money

80 bucks will get you about 150ft of 4" tubing. Not enough. The ideal track would have a 3-6 inch clay base. This makes for easy maintence. I would say to save your money and build the "right" track. Otherwise you won't draw too many racers over to race. I'm in the process of building one and I will have roughly $1200 into it. Proper excavating, clay, tubing, and drivers stand. Good luck with your venture.

$80.00 to build a track....hmmm.....I do admire your optimism but I think you'll be a tad short financially. All kidding aside it may be triple that to build a track for just the 18b's to run on. If your city requires land use permits that could take up your entire budget:( Not to mention if they'll allow it.....even though it's in your backyard. Your neighbors(?) may have something to say also once the 1/8th scales get fired up. 1FastGT2 is right.....save your money, find a location that is racer, neighbor, and city friendly then have at it:woohoo::woohoo: The results will be worth it:dude:

what i did for temporaly use was i just cut the grass to the ground (real short) until i was cutting dirt i just did that for about a summer and you can always change it but you yard will look goofy i just made mine big enuf so i just would put down a couple of long 4x4s and just cut off the part i didnt want to use it was all dirt and there was no jumps but it was like a on road track but it was in my yard it was for my dad me and my neighbor i wasnt really having races on it though it mainly was just for tuning pracic and having fun but it would have been a totally diffrent track that no one ever had raced on :woohoo::thumbsup:
