I picked up a few more of these 21st Century WWII planes... These things look so cool hanging from the ceiling of my toy room... Making the hanging harnesses from sewing thread and getting them to hang even is a real bear !!! I have 6 now, even though they aren't diecast, they're still cool !!!

i just picked up a f-4j phantom 2 and a fa-18c hornet by maisto all metal 1/64th scale to go with my other ones. nothing else at wally world. 2.47 each. i had to fill the void some how so what the heck, no cars then planes - trains then. lol
my new walthers book just came so now i will see what trains has for me.

i like the planes neat idea ive got my walls covered with cars like everyone else l.o.l. maybe i will start hanging things from the ceiling .

The German aircraft is actually a Focke-Wulf Fw 190. When your old man was a tail gunner for the RAF during WW II you tend to know things like this. Here's a Messerschmitt Me 109:

Understand about the up close and personnel look at the plane that was trying to shoot you down! Congratulations on your pop making it through WWII. Mine was with the 509th bomb group on Saipan in the South Pacific.
I like the way that Stangfreak has incorporated a couple of his passions into one. And then again for Gunn talking about the trains, it all sounds a lot like ME! But space is at a premium and the wife is very understanding about the cars so I dont push it. LOL!:thumbsup:

the trains i collect are dummy trains by maisto. thay come with 1 track and 1 train or the atachments. thay are great and the tracks hook together. thay run about 2 to 3 bucks each
