Now that a new Heavy Metal cartoon was just announced, Taarna from the first Heavy Metal movie would make a good kit.

The Dungeon scene from Taarna looks like it could fit into the Monster Scenes Dungeon. The Barbarian Leader and his throne.

Not sure if Taarna is in the new movie.

WOW...yer takin' to a Heavy Metal fan here. Thanks for the info about a new movie! I guess keeping the original hand animation look of the first movie is going to be tough to do on a computer with today's computer rendering technology? I am curious to see what artist's and stories they are using. Thanks for the good news BatToys!

No doubt, the original film is an all-time favorite of mine but I don't feel it's suited to the Monster Scenes line. No offense. Watch for more info soon regarding MS.

I heard it will be eight stories.

I bought Taarna cels around 1982.

If not for the Monster Scenes line, Taarna would make a good kit.

I really hope they try to add Abbott and Costello to Monster Scenes.

Hey, now that you mention it, I think I have a taarna kit that would be a close fit for the MS line.

That Taarna garage kit kinda does have that awkward Monster Scenes sculpting style. I'd prefer a more photorealistic kit with her face faithful to the movie version.

Maybe Monsters Scenes could be expanded to include additional famous movie monster dungeons? Taarna and the Barbarian Leader on his throne and rack diorama, The Bride of Frankenstein, a different Vampirella based on Gonzalo Mayo art, Barbarella, a smaller scaled Invisible Man, Lugosi Dracula, The Wolf Man and PLEASE Abbott and Costello. Kits that might not be made as 1/8 individual kits can succeed as Monster Scenes dioramas.

I bet if Aurora had originally included Abbott and Costello that would have deflected criticisms.
