Hi,

What color would be suggested to back purple? I've painted a traxxas pro graphix body with some Craetex Purple and am not sure if I should use black, white or yellow?

Thanks!

You can create different results depending on how you back any color.

Personally I've used different colors to back purple. Depending on how many coats of purple and if it was a pearl or metallic purple, your results will also vary. Purple backed by yellow may have a brown tinge to it. Purple backed by silver will have a more metallic look. Purpl ebacked by black will have a very dark/deep look. Purple backed by white will be a bit lighter.

Of course all of this depends on how many base coats of purple or what type of purple paint you used. I only paint bodies from a can, so I don't ever airbrush. Tamiya lexan paint tends to be more translucent than pactra lexan paints. However the Pactra pearl/metallic/candy will also be more translucent.

My best suggestion is to either use a scrap of unpainted lexan from the body or buy some lexan sheets from a hobby store and experiment. You can actual create some interesting results using rattle cans.

You could always back it with silver, just a suggestion though

I think it would look hot if you outlined it with like neon green or bright green or somthing like that, that would look sweet.
