I heard that the regionals would be at Easley again this year and theat they would be in May. I have not seen any activity on the board. Was this an urban myth or will ther be a regional in May?

It doesn't look like my region will have a Roar Oval regional race this year. What are the Roar rules for running out of Region?

98Ron
04-10-2008, 04:34 PM
Jack, I would say Humpty is out of region also. Out region here in FLA is not have a regional either, they did not last year and we ran @ easley in their regional. I don't know what the rules are thought.

Will LIPO charge sacks be available in the hobby shop? I expect this will be the frist race many of us will attend where the charge sacks are required.

the charge sacks are now instock at the hobby shop...was looking at the over priced things yesterday...(not that the hobby shop is trying to get rich on them they are just over priced for what they are). I know donnie has been taking motor inductance numbers over the last few weeks to find a mean (average) to go by.

No Paved Oval Racing on the 10th of May!
Dirt Oval Series race is on that day (starting at 4:00 PM) so if U want to get some practice in for the regionals, You'll hafta come out on the 17th. Remember it's only three weeks away.

Donnie if you are still going to use the RC-Oval Series rules for the .09 class, the cut and paste above is not correct. There have been changes made over the last two summers. Sorry it has taken me so long to see this and ask.

This is some late breaking info:
I just got off the phone with Donnie and He has decided to do away with the "Late Fee" for entry into the 2008 Regionals.
He says if you have already paid the late fee just come see Him at the Carolina Speedway and he will refund the $5.

Mr. Vaughn, I have updated our rules page to reflect the changes for the 09 Series cars. Check it out and LMK if there are any other things I need to address.

How many laps will the .12 nitro cars be running in the main at the Regionals? I was wondering if I needed to prepare for pit stops.

kevina250
05-16-2008, 08:21 PM
I don't expect pit stops for this race. I believe it will be run lika a normal program.

Sam32

Cool, thanks Kevin. I guess not having pit stops will ease my learning curve a bit. I hope you and the rest of the .12 group will be there.

Sam32

I'm glad you guys can make it, and yes, I have one Associated muffler. I bought Derrick Morris and Robert Hellards motor stuff when they sold out, and they had one muffler. I'm looking forward to racing with you guys.
