We are posting the date early to help racers make plans. I have had several emails wanting to know the date of this race.

The date for the 08 Ovalmasters race will be Nov 21-23. We are proud to announce that Hyperdrive will be the race sponsor agian. Many thanks to Barry and Joe for their support. Tenative classes will be 17.5 bl,10.5 bl, 13.5 bl and open mod, all 4 cell. New classes this year for the ovalmasters will be lipo 21.5 and 17.5 lipo.

I agree, that is as long as Protoform has their COT body out by then. If not I say run the ORT.

That is a possibility that we had talked about. We will have more info in a few weeks.

I am proud to announce that KSG will be the class sponsor for Open Mod. I will have more info on the race soon. We are planning a warm up race also.

Looks like the 21.5 Lipo class at the nats ran car bodies. Might make it easier incase not enough show, so they can switch to a different class. Just throwing ideas out there. I wont be running it, so my opinon really doesn't matter.

Can't wait to get back to Greeneville. Hope all is going well over there!

I also hope racers in this class will not need to make a boby change from the normal body types ran at weekly events. I know that as of now I plan on running 21.5 and may not be running truck or COT at Rosewood when I go there to set up. With the cost of travel now I would hate to lose that track time changing to a different body.

I spoke to Alan a couple days ago and he said track upgrades will be ready by carpet season.

yes i plan on running 17.5 and 13.5...this race is the best cause its run right! entry fee's are AFFORDABLE , and there are set rules!

Really looking forward to this race I guess I'll have to run 17.5 and 13.5 so I can follow Jody around for a few days.

Do you have rules around that class(21.5) or the race yet? Also are we just going with Novak motors, or are we kind of waiting to see what happens. Can't wait to get there... is it Nov. yet?

We are working on a rules package now. We should have it out by July. Lipo is growing and changing fast, it will be the hardest to nail rules down for. Good to hear from you look forward to seeing you agian. You still two wheeling?

Doug we will have all classes and rules out next month. But right now that is the plan. 3200 and 21.5 seems to be what a lot of people like to run. Hope you can make it back down.

I think John is confused by the same thing I was; in the class listing. When you guys refer to a class as 13.5 bl or 17.5 bl........does the "bl" mean "brushless" or brushless lipo"??

As a normal rule (for me anyway) when a class is a lipo i will add lipo, other wise is is brushless 4 cell. For example 17.5 lipo or 17.5 4 cell. Sorry for the confusion. I have a poll running for the next 2 weeks of people who are planning on racing at the Ovalmasters. The pole is for 13.5 and 10.5 brushless. At this time 17.5 lipo, 21.5 lipo, 17.5 4 cell and open mod are the only classes locked in. Thanks for the input.
