I was wondering the best method for breaking in a Picco Max .26. The manual is very vague on this subject. Any help would be great.

Jeff briano_72 04-08-2008, 08:30 PM just set the needles where the book says, and fire it up, dont let it get over 250, keep what ever it is up on blocks, so the wheels are not touching the ground, or you will burn up your clutch shoes. you want the idle high enough to where the wheels just start to move. and make sure the temp is up to at least 200, you dont want to break in a motor under that, if its not getting heat in it, its not really breaking in. and get rid of the picco/ofna glow plug and put a os #8 in it. i had a brand new one i just got broke in, when i started driving it, it would blow a plug every 3 minutes. finnally someone told me the os plug thing, it ran like a champ !! i usually idle 2-3 tanks, let it cool in between. then you find a big parking lot, and cruise around for about 2 more tanks. then ya tune her for speed !! piccos are great motors !! ive had 2 26's and a 27 in a savage. the 27 is a powerhouse !! vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
