Hi Everyone, Well Racing Season Is Almost Here And Master Hobbies Is Gearing Up For A Great Year! As You Probably Already Know We Are Hosting A Wdra Championship Series Race June 21. We Have Been Working All Winter Preparing For This Season We Are Going To Be Running Weekly Races Friday Nights Starting April 25. Weather Permitting Racing Starting At 7:00.
And For You Nitro Guys We Will Be Having Nitro Classes Weekly

If You Havn't Herd By Know We Are Building A Offroad Track Which Will Be Racing Saturday's Probably Starting Sometime In May, We Will Be Hosting All 1/10 And 1/8 Classes.

This coming Friday April the 25th, I am proud to announce that in conjunction with the Army National Guard, Pit Road Racing Collectibles will have on display the 2008 National Guard/Mountain Dew Amp Energy Drink #88 Chevrolet Impala SS, that is driven driven by Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. We will also have on display the car known as the "Flying 11," a 1937 Chevrolet Modified Coupe that was raced locally at Albany Saratoga Speedway in the late 1960's and early 1970's when the track was still asphalt by driver Ray Hendrick from Littleton NC. This is the car that won the last race ever run at Langhorn Speedway & has been completely restored to better than new condition and is a true piece of racing history. Come on by and see how racing has evolved from it's more humble beginings to the ultra high tech Cars Of Today. Don't forget to bring your camera as photo op's can be had with both of these cars. Viewing hours are form 9AM to 4PM this Friday April 25, 2008. Tell your friends as this is one of the last times for the 2008 season that these cars will be in our area. WE TALKED TO KIRT WEDNESDAY NIGHT APRIL 30th AT COMPITITION HOBBY. THERE HAS BEEN A SCHDULE CHANGE. LOOKS LIKE THE WDRA EAST WILL BE MAKING THERE FIRST STOP HERE (BIG MIKES BACK YARD TRACK) ON JUNE 7th INSTEAD OF AUGUST 2nd. IF ANYONE WANTS TO CHECK THE TRACK OUT WE WILL BE RUNNING ON SATURDAY NIGHTS FROM 4:00 pm UNTIL WHEN EVER THE LAST PERSON LEAVES. IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO RUN ON IT WEEK NIGHTS (as long as theres enough guys 5 or more) LET ME KNOW AND WE'LL OPEN THE TRACK FOR YOU.

Master Hobbies wants everyone that is interested in racing to post there opinion on what night of the week they would like to see us run since we opened we have had alot of ideas concering this, we are currently running friday nights. just want to get everyone's input so we can make the best decision regarding weekly events. we are hoping to make a decision in a couple weeks, thanks again for your help. todd

I'm heading to Master Hobbies Friday, looks like we may have 4-5 Western NY racers/visitors as well. They will be running both electric and nitro.

'The General' will be on hand to lend Nitro Engine tuning and advice, I'll be there to help out on chassis setup, etc;

Looks like we may have some 1/18 cars too!

How did it go last night?

Track was smooth as silk- awesome bite. Everyone who showed up was treated to an incredible facility! :thumbsup:

My Nitro Powered Late Model was a helmet ride- any who wanted to try it got to turn laps in it- some turning their first laps ever in a nitro ride. Many grins and thumbs up, and even a couple of cars sold!

Good to see Jeff and Scott Hotaling make the trip from Fulton, as well as The General coming out from Rochester to lend his nitro tuning skills-:thumbsup:

Looks like we may have 6 or so coming from Binghamton, and another 6 or so coming from the Syracuse/Rochester are next Friday. Get 'em ready!

Todd announced at last weeks WDRA event it would be the same as for the WDRA race, so practice was 4:00 and racing at 6:00

OUR GOAL AT MASTER HOBBIES IS TO BUILD THE PREMIER RACING FACILITY FOR OVAL AND OFFROAD RC RACING HOWEVER WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF THE RACERS THAT ISN'T POSSIBLE.
IF ANYONE HAS MORE INFO ON WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE US DO FOR WEEKLY EVENTS PLEASE CALL OR POST YOUR THOUGHTS THEY ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
