John called me today. Gates open at 3:30pm for this Saturday's KING'S RANSOM 500. Can't get in before that. He is putting up the covering on the foam walls tonight. He will be widening the infield to 2 tiles width, radius corners w/ ice.

See you then.

Well, the 1st annual King's Ransom 500 is in the books. Results and many pics to follow later tonight. What a real barn-burner, with the second place stalking first place by 4 or 5 laps the entire way, then taking the lead at the last pist stop with 30 to go with a quicker pit stop!

Congrats to Redlog Racing:thumbsup:

Top three:
#27 Darrel Golder
#54 Bob Durkin
#24 Rich Devine

Hmmm.... all coupes

You forget to mention that your Cavalier body got all kinked up also. That's what happens when your Legend gets used as a skateboard by a turn marshall !

Hey if anyone talks to Bobby Durkin, I owe him $10.00

That extra pinion is supposed to be there. You put wedge in or out with that shaft. The pinion gives you better grip. The warrior is the only car you can tweak wedge without removing the body.

Wedge can actually be adjusted w/o the removal of the body on the following s/k cars:
KSKT v1 and V2
KSK skateboard
RKR
DARN
JCAR
BEEFY

Do you need a tool to do so on those cars? i.e. Allen wrench, screw driver.ect. (twisting the chassis with your hands I dont believe to be a wise adjustment)And can you make that adjustment in about 2 seconds, not including picking the car up or putting it down? I ran a JCAR. Shims in or out from under the left front was the wedge adjustment.(screwdriver, less than 3 min. not rushing)Just wondering.

Just to be fair, any t-plate car with tweak screws need a hole drilled in the body for a wrench, unless you already have an antenna hole that lines up with the tweak screws (just as quick as the Warrior adjustment). Any solid car must have the front end mounting screws removed or loosened so you can add or remove shims, or you need to re-shim the kingpin (Really slow to change, not user friendly, but, yes, the body can stay on). Any more comments on the Warrior can be made on that thread, please.

Sorry Dale. Paul started it.
Was'nt bashing any of the other cars. I've only had hands on with a JCAR and a Warrior. I was just wondering if there was something I did'nt know about the other ones.

It's a foam tile track. Here's the thread for Gallimods. http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=216081
