The old Mahopac store has relocated to 267 Route 118, Baldwin Place, NY. 4000 sf facility in brand new building! Ground floor is the Hobby shop, The basement has a 90' runline foam oval (like Trax 70 and New Milford GMX) as well as a huge Scalectrix 6-lane slot car track. Plenty of pit space, well lit, very clean facility. First RC race on the oval is this Saturday, 4/12. 4-cell stock SK, Legends, etc. Call John & Jess for details 914-621-0044.

I haven't talked to John yet, but I will today. I (DRC Engineering) would like to sponsor this Saturday's Season Finale race for the Legends. (Trophy, $$$, and stuff). If you guys want to go 500 laps instead of 300, I will make the deal more interesting.

Post your thoughts here about 500 vs. 300 laps.
More info to follow.

OK. I talked to John, and here's the deal:
A-Main 500 laps, B-Main ??? laps
A-Main TQ $5.00
A-Main 1st $50.00
A-Main 2nd $10.00
B-Main 1st $10.00
Top 3 from each main get pictures taken & posted on this thread.
A-Main winner and B-Main winner gets his picture taken with the King's Crown and sash (just purchased today), posted on this thread, just like the Ring's Royal Sprint Car race. If you don't wear the outfit for the pics, you don't get the $$$.

Any race specific rules are out of my hands.

Maybe it will heat up from all the pressure on it and finally mold to your finger.Or you'll get it all the way through grip.

Remember battries must be held in with a tie wrap!!!!! no velcro... The configuration must be the same as you ran all year!!!!
We will have to discuss the gearing. I would say we go from the 20/22 to 21/23.

John called me today. Gates open at 3:30pm for this Saturday's KING'S RANSOM 500. Can't get in before that. He is putting up the covering on the foam walls tonight. He will be widening the infield to 2 tiles width, radius corners w/ ice.

See you then.

Well, the 1st annual King's Ransom 500 is in the books. Results and many pics to follow later tonight. What a real barn-burner, with the second place stalking first place by 4 or 5 laps the entire way, then taking the lead at the last pist stop with 30 to go with a quicker pit stop!

Congrats to Redlog Racing:thumbsup:

Top three:
#27 Darrel Golder
#54 Bob Durkin
#24 Rich Devine

Hmmm.... all coupes;)
(my legs are real tired after marshalling 500 laps...)

Im sure guys will be there weekly and yes the rules are still the same. If you have any ideas for changes let us know, almost everybody that runs them reads these posts.
If you dont mind, what would or do you prefer to run with the legends. The lap times are pretty quick for our cars right now 3.7/3.9 and that was our first night on this particular track.
We also ran SKs last night for the first time and we were getting them down to 3.1/3.4s Both classes will reduce those times by a 10th or 2 as we get used to the track. The reason I ask is that in my opnion the legends should stay as they are, (cheap/affordable and very competitive). The SK would be the way to go if you want to run 27 turn or brushless with a challenge to get it around.
