I talked to Jay last week - and they ARE working on some SMALLER Spurs - hopefully they will be available in the next couple months.

Still in business? Looks like they let their domain name lapse:

They dropped the web site several months ago. I last saw and spoke to Jay Kimbrough back around April. I stopped into the shop while on a trip down to NOVAK (Which is just a couple miles away)

He said they had somebody new who was supposed to be working on a new site that would also have e-commerce with direct buying.

A friend of mine recently sent in some gift certificates, and when he called to check on order status, he was told there were some family issues going on... haven't heard anything since.

(If anyone knows anything...please post, I know Jay's dad CHUCK KIMBROUGH is getting up in years, and has some health issues.)

I talked to Jay Kimbrough today, I had heard there was a death in the family and was worried it might be his father CHUCK.

Jay says DAD is ok, but suffering from a few health issues. He did recently have a death of a family member but not directly related to family business.

It sounds like the current economy has slowed Kimbrough Products down, and he mentioned that R/C products sales are way down...and he's doing more non-rc related business these days.

The WEB SITE and any NEW Small Spur Gears have both been put on hold until something changes in the economy to make it worth spending monies that are tight.

For those of you who think KIMBROUGH is a large business, the shop is basically just JAY right now...

I'd love to see them and thier products stay alive in this hobby, but economy & competition have pushed them away.
