Pros vs. Cons willyplankhead 04-05-2008, 08:12 PM nether one will be easier trasition i think the sprints are a little more twitchy both drive very diffrent from 10th the hardest part or the bad habit most have from 10th i did it and watched others do it is trying to drive that 4foot 30lbs pig on a line that you would normally use for 10th once you get past that you should not have any trouble with ethier FMurry8995 04-05-2008, 11:52 PM Moving up from 10th scale. Want sprint car but what is easier transition Sprint of Full Body Car/Truck. Pros vs. Cons I would recomend a season with a full bodied car before running an open wheel car. jeffdavis38 04-06-2008, 01:46 AM The sprint cars are not built as soild as the full body cars. You would be better starting out with the car. A lot tuffer to start with. Were will you be racing? Moving up from 10th scale. How does it compare with the Disruptor? IN2RACIN 04-06-2008, 05:20 PM In my opinion Sprint cars are a bit easier to drive, but, they are pretty fragile compared to full bodied cars (GN,truck, sportsman) with the big foam bumpers on all sides. Coming from 10th scale too I had to retrain my brain to not go balls out at the horn! Like in 4 minute (some longer) 10th scale races. In Q-scale racing it's all about being patient. In most Q-scale races you will go to the back at least once per race! MSadler 04-06-2008, 05:22 PM DFW is closest to where I live. Jeff have you driven the WCM cage car? How does it compare with the Disruptor? mobetter i have 2 very nice disruptors for sale with or without radio gear for sale if you are interested will have them at the track this saturday at DFW Speedway mike mobetter 04-10-2008, 08:16 PM Mike, How much for a Disruptor w/o radio equipment? I am considering WCM cage car or Disruptor if I get full body car, or Predator if I decide to try Sprint car. What do you feel is the advantage of the Disruptor over the WCM age car? MSadler 04-11-2008, 09:52 PM Mike...I will try to make it. I am considering WCM cage car or Disruptor if I get full body car, or Predator if I decide to try Sprint car. What do you feel is the advantage of the Disruptor over the WCM age car? Mobetter i would just be lieing to you about the cage car i havent seen one on the track in person, without a doubt its a good looking car but performance wise i couldnt tell you. i have 2 wcm cars and very happy with both of them, i just purchased a disruptor this year and very happy with it also, to me it just seems so stable thru the corners and when you buy it Scott the builder will break your motors in for you if you like, and he does one hell of a job of it. dont get me wrong Rick at WCM builds one hell of a car and it has been around for a long, long time but this i believe is the first full year for the cage car. The 2 cars i have for sale are from a buddy of mine in houston whose track has closed and he has no place to run them now, they are well maintained cars with alot of extras like the frankie shocks which by themselves cost about 350 bucks! You really need to see them to know what im talking about. really a good deal i think. Now as far as sprintcar man i dont think you could go wrong with the Predator! A guy at our track bought one and after watching it kick our butts out of the box on the first nite, myself and another guy at our track bought one also. next race you could have thrown a blanket over all 3 cars in the main it was alot of fun to drive. Again all this is just my opinion and others may disagree, i hope you can make it tomorrow suppose to be really nice out and will help you make a decision on what you might want to do. i will be there by 9am and should be quite a few people practicing by noon, with races starting in the 5 oclock nieborhood. hope to see you then. mike willyplankhead 04-11-2008, 09:52 PM there is none mine will smoke any disruptor LOL MSadler 04-11-2008, 09:56 PM dont pay any attention to Will, his rulebook is in braille willyplankhead 04-11-2008, 09:58 PM na just playing mike till we get to indy cage car think is gona be great 1st time out with mine turned within 1/10 of my best time and the car wasnt even close on handeling MSadler 04-11-2008, 10:06 PM Spare Parts is another thing to consider are you going to carry all your own ? vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
