I've run into an issue with my 6HP Briggs and Stratton engine on my snapper, I rebuilt it and it runs fine but has an issue priming and there for hard starting. The Primer worked fine before I did the rebuild, it won't work after the rebuild and its driving me crazy! The Air Box-carb gasket is new and l tried adjusting the angle of the air box (gap between mounting screws and plastic alows for a slight amount of movement). Ill sometimes get a puff of gas out of the jet while priming and some times I get nothing. I have to prime it about 20 times for it to even think of starting. Model: 12H802, TYPE: 1987-B!, Code: 00102459. I'm normally good at figuring out problems but this one has me stumped...

After time these plastic air filter bases get warped out of shape, On some I have installed two gaskets without over tightening and got them to work. If they don't work with two gaskets customer gets a new base.
