I have what seems to be a 4 cell Lipo but I am not sure
I got it with a deal on a Stampede and the ad said it was a 3 cell 8000mah
I get it and it is wrap in painters tape so I unwrap to see whats up and thre are 4 bars in there and no writing on the top or bottom on them
I have a 3 cell 3000mah pack and it has 3 bars
I emailed the guy and now he is saying it is a 4 cell 6000 mah
I need to know how to tell I don't have a balancer yet but am ordeing the one from Maxamps on Monday I have an Ice and when I try and charge at the 4 cell 6000 mah with a 4 amp charge rate it will charge for a little bit and than beep saying volts to low on battery pack

BTW the Pede has the brushless system in it too and the thing is so fast it makes Mod Pan car at Snowbirds look like they're legends

LMK thanks

chances are it is a 2s 2p lipo. that makes it a 7.4 volt 2c lipo that uses 2 in parralell and 2 in series. check the voltage and it will most likely be between 7.4 and 8.4. try charging it as a 2c battery.

I second that, it probably only is a 7.4v pack, but with it being 2s2p it will have high milliamps though, I'm guessing it at least has 6000mah, maybe even 8000mah.

Check voltage on the connector and each series cell should have 3.5-4.2 volts. The number of leads on the balancer connector minus 1 is the number of series cells.

This should also help determine whether it's a 2s2p or a 4S.

It sounds like a 3 cell, if you can post a pic maybe we can help further. I'd hate to see you charge it without being 100% sure. It may have to have the front end taken apart to see exactly the connections. I know you said it had 4 bars , sometimes from the back of the pack it is pretty easy to tell how many cells there are.

Even though the balance wires, voltage indicates a 3 cell pack it could be 4 cells (2sx2p or 4S) with one very low cell, one missing balance tap, severly overcharged 2s, ect.

By the way, are there any tags, labels? and perhaps the dimensions may also tell us something if the brand name is known.

I took the tape off it and that is where I saw 4 bars
I will try and get a pict soon
