Hi Dan..sorry I have been a little slack with the details.
Thanks for the kick in the butt, and getting a new thread going.
All the dates posted are correct.
I will keep a pre entry list via E mail... drshockman@hotmail.com... this will help expedite registration,as well as assure a racers entry in the event that we exceed 150 entries.

Gotta give the shout for the sponsors that make this happen...

Carolinas RC

The only big shake up in the program from last year will be that brushless lipo 1/10 trucks will be allowed to run with 1/10 gas truck.

The A mains will be;
1/10 gas truck 20 minutes
Production MT 20 minutes
1/8 Sportsman 20 minutes
Arena Truck 30 minutes
1/8 Open 30 minutes

All the tracks in the series will have an all day friday practice ...$10 payable to the track administration...help keep our tracks going strong.

Entry fees are the same as last year;
1st entry $25
additional classes $20

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but feel free to let the questions rip.

Lets get ready to RACE:woohoo:

Dave... I'm working on the entry fee deal...trying to make this work well for everybody;)

Al...60 oz= 3lbs12oz minimum weight for this class...yes the BL lipo trucks will be expected to conform to specification.

I'm in for the brushless / lipo truck. I assume we'll be required to pit at least once for a few seconds?

You have to make the A to worry about pitting.....LOL Just playing, yeah. I think the car has to come off pit wall for a two count or something like that.

Why is this thread so dead and the race is only weeks away?

If a lot of brushless race this will make GT watered down. I hope if we do have a lot they will get there own heat. Here in Columbus GT is even in entries with 1/8 buggy so we dont need to add a new class to fill up. Please dont misunderstand lipo should be able to run with GT on a normal club race but a trophy race that is different.

I completely understand. If it's going to be a problem, I can sit this out... it's really not a bid deal. I really don't want to cause any problems, I was just following the posted classes that included brushless/lipo. FYI though, they run electric with the gas 1/10th at all of the big state races all over the east coast for the same reason, there just isn't enough 1/10th gas anymore.

2-3 Lipo/Brush in a feild of 15-20 GT fine no problem with that

papa

Rcpro state series rules apply in all classes for this series. All 1/10 trucks will run together if there are three or thirty.

We should be happy about everybody that shows up to race.It helps promote the sport. As for a class getting watered down by electric,i think it's just another way of sayin ya don't want them wuppin on ya.

I am not sure why you say this. You must not know about other tracks much. Medina is a good track to race at. The track has its own challenges just like others do.
You post here that it is crap without saying what were your reasons for saying this. So taken with a grain of salt without you saying what part you did not like is just like saying I could not drive on this track good. Was this the case? That is what i would get out of your post. EVERY! racer I have talked to during a race likes the track. None of them have posted that they thought it was crap.

You are entitled to your viewpoint but more info should be given by you to tell us why you have this opinion.

The only problem I see with current track is its hard to see the landing from the staircase if you are on the right hand side of stand.

papa
05-12-2008, 09:57 AM
I'll have to get back to you on that one.... From where I sit and looking at the track schedule any of the three following weekends could work.

For know, we are operating as business as usual with respect to the weather. The forecast is likely to chage a few times between now and the weekend.

unless i am seeing different reports than everyone else we should be ok. I lived in NE ohio long enough to know that just becuase it is supposed to rain does not mean it will.

I remember last year that track took on an ignorant amout of water and it was DIALED for the mains

papa

There is no parking on the grass. Racers will need to drop their things and then move cars to either the baseball parking lot or the skate park at the top of the hill.

The weather is clearing now as the clouds have all passed us by. I have not been down to the track yet.Should be a nice day. Looks like a small cool front will pass late tonite watering the track for us. Saturday we ought to be in good shape with any weather coming very late at nite after midnite.

Boogity Boogity Boogity... Let's go racing Boys!
