5hp briggs

1 What is the best way to hold the flywheel while getting the starter nut off, I have been struggling with a strap wrench but surely there is an easier way.

2 Do you use a special tool to remove/replace the starter nut (model 130202) or just a pipe wrench?

3 Will the flywheel out of the newer (2 bolts on top of the crankcase housing(model 135202)) motor interchange with the older style 5hp briggs motor (one bolt on the top of the crankcase housing(130202))?

4 What is the best way to clean out a rusty gas tank?

5 where can i find documentation, specs, etc for the flatheads, whether it be a book or a collection of doc files, spreadsheets or informative websites?

To lock the flywheel remove the sparkplug, move the piston to the bottom of the stroke and fill the cylinder with rope, leave enough of the rope hanging out so you can remove it when you are finished. Have a good one. Geo
