Thanks KenBajdek 03-31-2008, 06:09 PM I'm not being a smart @$$ but wouldn't running the shock empty be about the same dampening as 5wt oil? I have seen 10wt and that was really thin. Cooking oil would be close if I had to guess. RPM 03-31-2008, 09:40 PM I'm not being a smart @$$ but wouldn't running the shock empty be about the same dampening as 5wt oil? RCMits 04-01-2008, 12:03 AM Hi - Who makes (sells) 5wt silicone shock oil? Thanks 5 wt? wow.. last time i saw 5 wt was like for mountain bike shocks.. Finishline makes a silicon 5wt shock oil for shocks on mountain bikes. Like 10$ for a 8oz bottle. There is a company also called "Buzzy" that makes shock oil thats SAE rated at 5wt and 10wt. I think most is hydraulic oil really.. I could be wrong. But that stuff is REAAAALLY thin. Dan 04-01-2008, 09:34 AM I believe 3-in-1 oil is 5wt. As is sewing machine oil... But not silicone.. Not sure if your looking for something that thin that it would make a difference... vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
