Yes, I did it. Because of the general talk here I splurged and bought a pair of Super IIIs for $15 each.
Pulled the first one out of the package and tossed it on the track.
Within four laps on my small track it started to slow down.
Yep, one of the brush screws had backed out... :freak:
*sigh* I didn't see that coming..... lol

I'm saving mine for a safety hazzard re-call, then the price value should go up!!! I hope to at least break even!!! Just my thoughts...RM

If you turn them upside down they make neat cups for screws, magnets and other parts...

That's happened to me on Wizzard cars.
Just use a small amount of Loctite 243 removable thread locker sparingly on the screw.

Use your tourch, heat them up (or drive till melted) press the front end in and use as trackside decorations. They make great wrecks for the road side!!!!

Glue to the door knobs to your track room to make cool way to enter the room!

I jsut got one and it did that. I replace the brushes with a set from an old tyco (they don't come with much in the way of brushes). Still not as fast as I would expect a new car to be...a Tomy turbo will walk away from it in a race. I couldn't get the chassis to fit any other body from AFX.

I bought one S3.All AW cars run about the same stock-crappy.
Even old Marcon cars run better.
Savin my bread for when the Mega G comes out.

The problem with mine is that one of the motor brush barrel screws kept loosening out. I put a little white glue on it and now it stays in place. I also swapped in a G Plus crown gear that meshes much more smoothly. Silicone rear tires helped too.
