This is a 1/10 .12 nitro car that looks to be based on an associated RC10LSO?
Has anyone seen one of these I looked all over the internet and couldn't find it as a kit or conversion kit, It looks really well put together though, so I don't think someone built it? I am thinking it was maybe a prototype?

It is an Associated Nitro Car. About 8 to 10 years old when they made them.

You mean it is about 8-10 years old? that is kind of what I was thinking. Was this actually a production item? it looks like it was by the build quality, but I can't find any info on it online anywhere. would it still be legal at a gascar event? (or competitive?) what is top speed on these cars?
Thanks

As far as legality, yes this car would be legal at a GASCAR event. It looks to be a wide car and the cars we run now are narrow.
As far as competitive, that lies in the driver and setup.

Yes Assoc. did produce them back then. I believe it is a wide car. They are still competitive. Just takes setup and time. I don't know about finding a body to fit it though.

I think Windtunnel still has some of the wide bodies.

yep it's definately a wide car, I held it wheel to wheels with my LE lightning and the front is about 1/2 wider across, and the rear is wider than the lightning also, just for grins I set one of my Mcallister dirt latemodel bodies on it and it was perfect width! I think I would keep it and bring it with me to the deep south where these cars are popular, I'll be in the MO/LA area next year for a Grand Prix car club meet- if I could run my dirt latemodel body! But I don't know if it would handle like a dump truck, that body is big sitting next to the charger body I have on my lightning. I really wish we raced these here! I saw a video on utube and they look really cool!

Check out the GASCAR schedule and maybe you can make a trip over to race with us. Tell ya what, you make a GASCAR race and I will cover your entry fee.

The Car is an Associated car with a TRC conversion kit. I have one. It could be very competitive with me behind the wheel.
