Hi,

I thought I would share the info with this board regarding the recent
Greenlight Under The Hood Club members only offer for your review.

On Thursday 3-20 UTHC members received an email informing us that we should check out the UTHC members only store at 10:00 AM on the following Friday. No info was given as to what would be on sale. At 10:30 the next day I checked out the store to see a message that the first 50 orders of over $75
in merchandise would receive a Free Green Machine from the company's early releases. In the store I found for sale many cools cars including the Launch Party Corvette Z06 Green Machine for $39.99. I have not received my order yet but many who have have posted that they received a First Corvette Release Z06 Green Machine 1/40 made or a Muscle Car Garage Release One 67 GTO GM 1/50 Made.

UTHC has told us this was the first of many special sales to come throughout the next year. I like the site as they offer great info on GL cars and want our advice as to upcoming projects. We even got to vote on the GM characteristics for the Black Bandit Release 2 cars. That was cool. If you don't belong to UTHC you might want to check it out as its good place to visit often if you like these cars.

:wave:I joined B4 the site was up and running. I have been active on the boards ever since. The site is well run. I no longer collect HW and it gives me a place to check the latest info on my new focus, GL. What I haven't seen over there is crying or flaming which is refreshing after being a HWC member for years. The club only pieces are awesome and limited to 1000 pcs(not 11000) and come in a cool display box, they are VERY detailed. GL staff are also very active and answer questions very quickly. Look up Doc and myself at UTHCC, I'm 69GTX, see you there.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I went on later in the afternoon, but did not see any of the stuff you mentioned. I guess it was all gone by then.

I will keep my eyes out in the future.

I'm wondering where they got these Green Machines to sell/give away. Is it correct to assume that not all 50 of the GTO's were released and Greenlight is holding some back? What else and how many of other Green Machines are they holding back?

Just some questions that come to mind.

Astroking,

I do not know exactly how they came to have some extras of early GM's but one reason could be that the early releases did not sell out and they
took the GM's out of the leftover cases to give away. They did offer some ealry release cars in the sale so that is how I think they got them. One other point to mention about GL is that they ship all of their cars to retail and hobby and do not hold back the low numbers the way some other companies do. I own a Muscle Car Garage Cuda in Red with #0001 on the base. That is pretty cool in my opinion. I agree there is very little flaming on the GL site.
Its a nice to place to congregate with people who like quality diecast made
with the us in mind.
