What better to do on a wet saturday morning with money in my pocket, when the wife away visiting family........
I didnt expect to find much but in fact there was quality for less than ebay prices:thumbsup:this whole bunch, including diesel and admission cost me 500krone which is $100 at todays rates
Finding Ironside still sitting in his chair is a first for me,and I expect selling off my 2 poorer examples will pay for this beauty (who remembers TVīs Ironside ???- all I remember is that it was a Quinn Martin production:freak: and the real truck was army olive with a blue stripe)
But my favourite of this bunch is the Walls Icecream truck - i dont collect such small scale but this is so charming (even with finger grease worn decals!) that I will find space for it in my new Lesney cabinet which I am renovating to take all my Lesneys without overcrowding.... The Pickfords (gpw) & Milkfloat(spw with very lightly tinted green windows) are upgrades, the J2 (gpw) replaces my childhood repainted example
All in all a morning of blessings which put me in fine spirits with fair prices for everybody , ready for an afternoon of work..........:) and an evening of sorting out $100 of cars to sell now that I have agreed to sell at least as much as I add........
