Well i have the gorilla maxx V3 with a e-maxx tranny locked in 2nd gear. Shes hoked up to a Neu 1515/1y putting out almost 3hp with the two NeuPower 5000mah car packs that powers it. I use a Quark 125B as the speed controll with a castle creations UBec. One of the best set ups you can have. One a few other things im gunna do to her. I am desiging a mount to use the RC-Monster.com Slipperential so that you can so away with the huge tranny and put a center diff in which is great for racing. I am also going to put RC-Monster.com truggy diffs in the front and back when i bust the stock ones or switch to the center diff just so i can get some ger on it. Other than that shes fast and fun. But if you want a beater i would recomend the T-Maxx or E-Maxx or the Savage if yer not a traxxas guy. For racing there is nothing better than a Revo and the Gorilla maxx chassis is def. the best of the best. But check out RC-Monster.com some great fourms and RC-Monster Mike is a great guy! Trever

Gorilla is the way to go for a RACE truck. the Tekno conversion is for bashers.

Most of the Revo Racers in my area that are switching to electric are using the Tekno Conversion this season and are having really good results with it. And as for the Tekno Conversion being for Bashers sounds like an opinion instead of a fact.

with tekno you dont have to get parts from a emaxx, it also still looks like a revo when its done
