Four for me: Ghia, bus, Nardo and Golf GTI...and maybe Kubelwagen...
Was expecting something more original, as Volkswagens have been made numerous times in 1/64 but there are so many other models waiting to be cast in this scale.
stretchdog 03-28-2008, 12:56 PM Man the wait is finally over!! I was really hoping fr a Maserati series, but this is still nice. I agree that VW has had its fair share in 1/64, and I always liked that Kyosho does models that other Manufactures avoid. I would have loved to see the Corrado in this series!! I will probably try to get one of each excluding the New Beetle and Nardo :)
Thanks for the update Superbird!!
Superbird77 03-28-2008, 01:40 PM Stretchdog: You are right...Corrado or Scirocco would be great! Golf II is also a rare scale model... and what about VW-Porsche 914. :)
I'm sure we will see Maserati too.
hookie 03-28-2008, 07:26 PM Wow, At least!.
Awesome release, but I agree beetle and new beetle are very common in this scale but I prefer this street cars sets rather than racing sets (F1 or Calsonic).
VW Kubelwagen in army green will be a hit for sure.
164hack 03-28-2008, 11:51 PM Good hunting, Superbird77! I've come to rely on your reporting on the new stuff. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but I do like the set. Unbelievable there's no Scirocco. Finally VW gets some accurate and well done representations in 1/64. There are others but (in my opinion) Auto Art is the only one offering precision on anything VW prior to this set.
Good to see the Kyosho toolers are back to work. Reset timer for 2 months ???
Atencio 03-29-2008, 12:27 AM I was really hoping for a Maserati series as well. Not sure if I will get this set or not. About half of the vehicles are just too common, diecast wise. A Scirocco and even better a VW Aerocoupe Type 64 would have been great
GLH Turbo 05-08-2008, 09:38 PM Where do you guys buy your Kyosho cars from? I was doing some checking on eBay and the prices for some of these cars range from very reasonable to premium pricing. I was interested in getting a set of the VW GTI's but couldn't find any in the reasonably priced range. Any help?
Superbird77 05-09-2008, 08:54 AM GLH Turbo: I only have two sources for 1/64 Kyoshos, Ebay and Henri's shop (look for the link on the top right of this page).
Unfortunately, new releases are pretty expensive when they appear on Ebay. I learned that it's really best to wait for a month (or for the new series to be released), prices seem to fall after some time. But there really isn't any exact rule, some more appreciated models increase value over time.
Originally, these models are very reasonably priced at 420 yen, that is around 2.6 EUR or 4 USD. I only wish there was a way to get them at these prices.:)
GLH Turbo 05-09-2008, 03:26 PM Hi Superbird77,
Thanks for the heads up. I'm assuming that most of these models would be available in Japan (with Kyosho being a Japanese company and all) and I just made a new friend in Japan. Hopefully he will be able to find some of these for me at regular retail pricing.

High Speed makes a nice 914 in electric green and they have a 916 in blue. They make nice 1/43rd scale cars. Look them up on eBay if you haven't already.
JasonZ 01-18-2009, 10:41 AM Very nice additions!
