We, at the home of joez870 have been surprised, amazed, humbled and blessed by the wonderful and most generous gifts from some of the finest members of HT!
Avalon, our new grand baby, received a wonderful parcel in the mail from Win43 (Jerry) and his TM, Cynthia!
It went like this.
I was at work in my shop when my cell rang. It was my TM(Domyno) asking if I was expecting a parcel from my slot car buddies from the HT. No, I was not expecting a parcel since I had just received my HOHT auction (greatest auction in the world(shameless plug) ) the previous day. "Not even JERRY?!" she asked? "No...i don't think so. I swear, I didn't buy any new slot stuff!" "But this is a HUGE BOX!" she said. " I still wasn't expecting anything." I could tell she didn't believe me.
"What does the address label read?" I asked. She told me it was addressed to "Miss Avalon" c/o Joez ect...." Now it was MY turn to be puzzled. "Who knows* what these guys are about?!"
I told her to open it up! I was puzzled to say the least as I heard my Domyno gasp and my daughter Corney laugh out loud and then start to cry. Domyno insisted that I must have known about it all along . Inside, they found for my grand daughter,(I was getting a play-by-play) a Baby Winnie the Pooh: Mobile, fleece blanket, crib set with padding and another parcel! Holy Hannah! After a few moments more, my Domyno started to cry too!:p Inside the second parcel they found a soft bunny, teething ring and a HAND MADE soft as silk baby blanket made by Cynthia!
After some more sobs and giggles, I got her to read the two cards enclosed. It seems that Win43 (Jerry) and his wife Cynthia was not the sole perpetrators of this unexpected boon! Other culprits had been named! They were: Coach61 (Dave), tjd241 ('Nuther Dave), Bill Hall (Bill ;)) Dragula (Christian),Bob...zilla(Bob) ,Hilltop Raceway (Randy) RacerDave(Dave again)BumperCar88(Jerry s'more) and Splitposter(Jeff)!
Thank you, everyone! We are truely greatfull for your thoughtfulness and generosity. It will be remembered and the tale shared with Avalon as she grows. Your well-wishes and fine gifts are well received and over the top!:thumbsup:
